It is impossible for the developers to own all hardware that is supported by RFXCOM / Z-Wave / others, so this means that some devices are supported by RFXCOM / Z-Wave, but not yet supported in Domoticz.
To get your device supported in Domoticz, we need:
- In case of 433Mhz device with RFXCOM: RFXmngr screen dump (copy-paste text, not a screen dump)
If that is not enough, please provide us with either:
- Your device (please contact us before sending, we will ship it back), or
- Donate a device to us, also please contact us before doing so
You can also open a topic on the forum to discuss about the product.

If you are going to buy a new usb stick, buy a Z-Wave Plus model because they will support all Z-Wave Plus and non-Plus devices.
DO NOT unplug the USB sticks while Domoticz is running or it will crash.
If you want to include nodes with the Aeotec sticks, turn off the Pi before removing the stick.
Also you sometimes need to be persistent when including a node fails for the first time.
Sometimes you need to try many times to include a node before it will work.

This page will give you an overview of IP-cameras that users have reported working with Domoticz.
Please mention the brand + type of your camera and also the URL to the image.
If you want to try if your camera works, a lot of settings for different brands of cameras can also be found here: http://www.ispyconnect.com/sources.aspx
Please only add the devices which are really known to work!
General security warning
When connecting the IP-camera to your network, be sure to put a username and a strong password on your IP-camera if you have it opened up to internet, otherwise you might end up at http://insecam.org/
Block internet access to the camera in your router if you don't want to have it connected to the internet.
A fast way to achieve this is to leave the 'Default gateway' field in the camera empty. By doing this it will only have access to your local LAN and no internet access.

Grabbing snapshots from RTSP-stream with script based on 'ffmpeg'
Cams that spit out a RTSP-stream (Real Time Streaming Protocol) won't work in Domoticz.
With this script you can grab snapshots from a RTSP-stream. It uses 'ffmpeg' to open the RTSP-stream and grab a snapshot from it.
You still can't use it directly in Domoticz, but if you want to grab a snapshot when the doorbell is pressed for example, this script will do so (outside of Domoticz).
Workaround for getting RTSP-based cam to work in Domoticz (through Synology NAS)
Cams that spit out a RTSP-stream (Real Time Streaming Protocol) won't work in Domoticz.
However, if you have a Synology NAS and have the cam working in the Surveillance Station package, you can use this script. It grabs a the stream from the Surveillance Station package and spits it out as a JPEG-image.
You can then use this in Domoticz, because the PHP-script mimicks itself as a JPEG file. The conversion of the stream is done by the NAS. Pretty clever huh!? ;)
Harmony Smart Control
Harmony (Ultimate) Hub
(Be sure the Hub is included)
Domoticz can see and start activities on the Hub. It cannot control devices directly.
For every activity a switch device is added in Domoticz.

The Philips Hue bridge and ecosytem are natively supported in Domoticz.
Supported Hue lights:
Hue E27 bulb
Hue GU10 bulb
Hue Lux E27 bulb
Hue White bulb
Hue White and Color Ambiance A19/E27 bulb
Hue White and Color Ambiance GU10 bulb
Hue Lightstrip Plus (RGBW)
Philips Friends of Hue Bloom
Philips Friends of Hue Iris
Philips Friends of Hue Lightstrip (RGB)
All other official Philips Hue and Friends of Hue products.
LivingWhites E27 bulb
LivingColors gen 2
All other LivingColors will work too except generation 1.
As long as you can connect the light to the bridge, it will work.
The bridge supports up to 50 connected lights.
Both the old and the new 'Homekit ready' bridge are supported.
Because of limitations in the Hue API, Domoticz cannot 'see' the Hue Tap or the Hue dimmer switch.
LivingColors remote controls do not use the bridge but control the lights directly,
so Domoticz cannot 'see' these remotes.
Of course you can still use the Tap and LivingColors remotes, as the light status is polled by Domoticz.
External status changes to the Hue lights (via app, Tap, etc) will be reflected in Domoticz within 10 seconds.

OpenTherm Gateway USB
Dutch DSMR smart meter with P1 port
These meters can be connected to Domoticz via a serial to USB converter cable.
Several ready made cables are available , but you can also create your own.
Depending on the type of meter a Baudrate of either 9600 or 115200 should be used.
f.i. Landis & Gyr E350 needs 115200, Kamstrup and Iskra often need 9600.
If one value does not work, try the other.
All meters with a S0 pulse port.
These meters are compatible too, but there are several methods to connect them to Domoticz.
