HTTPS not working pls help

Post by remmynl » Saturday 15 September 2018 19:29

Version: 4.9700
Platform: raspberry
Plugin/Hardware: model 3b+

clean fresh stretch lite image, noting else installed except domoticz easy installation.

8080 port is open and works fine
443 port is open but give an empty response

with a clean image of 2018-06-27-raspbian-stretch-lite with only :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo reboot
curl -L install.domoticz.com | sudo bash

Does anyone have an idea to get https working? I want it to work for using Controlicz.

Just follow the Wiki: http://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Native_sec ... ts_Encrypt

(Don`t forget to temporary change the port to 80 instead of 8080 in /etc/init.d/domoticz.sh during the procedure)

shouldn't I get something served on port 443 without using self signed certs/let's encrypt certs? Because this is not working at all with a clean install.

What is the domoticz.log telling you at startup of domoticz? Any errors or status for the webserver?

If the website is not certified with the SSL certificate oriented, then, your Website is not secured, it has become a rule, to certify with the SSL for each and every website from Linksys customer service to use the website with proper safety.

No errors in the log, from what I read is that when I point to my local lan ip:443 it should give me standard a exception question to add the standard domoticz certificate, however with a clean install I don't get this, just an empty response, also did a source build which gave me the same issue.

There should be some information in the log file at startup time indicating the webserver has started and it's ports.

The standard messages that webserver has started both http 8080 is running and 443 is running. No errors in log.

Also confirmed ports are open / listening with netstat. 8080 no problem, 443 port is open but gives empty response, not a refused msg something is not there.

Again this is on a clean stretch lite image with domoticz, I think this is standard behaviour. Even without my own certs I should be given a msg to add an unsafe domoticz certificate as an exception to the browser and be able to access https page.

Can anyone confirm https is not reachable using latest stretch + domoticz clean install?

Hello,
Have you solved this issue?
I have the same problem, normal http on 8080 is working fine but https on 443 or any other port gives "no responce" in web browser....
No errors in log file.
Domoticz updated to lastest beta.

Installing libssl1.0.0_1.0.2l-1~bpo8+1_armhf.deb changes nothing.

domoticz version: 4.10078 (beta)
linux: Debian Stretch 9.2 (4.1.15)
platform: VisionSom
hardware: NXP i.MX6ULL Cortex-A7

-----------------------

I figured this out.
for normal connection putting in browser "192.168.1.xxx:8080" works fine but for SSL it neet to be "https://192.168.1.xxx:443".
Then it asks for the certificate etc. Putting simply "192.168.1.xxx:443" do not work for me.
