GSM SIM card calling?

Post by binbo » Sunday 12 August 2018 9:37

On my old alarm system - when it was activated - it could call or text you to say someone was breaking in.

Is this possible anyway with domoticz?

Hardware / software / service.

Any way to be notified when a device is triggered.

Thank you.

Do you really need GSM? There are several methods already supported Setup->Settings->Notifications
Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS, Intel NUC, MySensors 2.3.0-alpha, Pro Mini 3.3/8M RFM69(HW), ESP8266 (SDK2.2.0), Sonoff, RFLink, RFXcom, MQTT, NodeRed, Domoticz Beta (from source)

Yes you can...I have my raspberry configured That it can call the firebrigade in case of a fire..
All you need is a Voip account..but most people call over the Internet anyway..
It works like this... A message is composed in a script in Domoticz..this textfile is via google Translate converted in a spoken mp3 file which returns...then a voip connection is setup and the mp3 file is played..

Can you explain that? I'm trying since a week to set up a sip client (asterisk) for ringing my phone when somebody hit the doorbell. Have no luck

Ok... here you go...

Install Sip-Tools (visit http://binerry.de/post/29180946733/rasp ... ng-machine.)

I have changed the sipcall.c to manage to use it with Google TTS.

Then an easy Lua script triggered by a switch does the trick

Code: Select all

commandArray = {}

receiver = "receiver telephonenumber"

if devicechanged['CallSwitch'] == 'On' then

Message='This is the home automationsystem. Smokedetector has been activated, please take action!'

Message = string.gsub(Message, " ", "%%20")

os.execute('sudo /home/pi/domoticz/scripts/SIP-Pi/sipcall -sd sip.yoursipprovider.nl -su xxxxxxxxxx -sp xxxxxxxxxx -pn '..receiver..' -tts "'..Message..'"')

 commandArray['CallSwitch']='Off'

  end

return commandArray
Hope you can get it working, for me it does.
Cheers, Hans

How do I install it?
I clone it from github, but it starts with errors.
Sorry for the stupid question, but have not much experience with Linux.
