EVO Home not updating

Post by JuanUil » Saturday 11 August 2018 13:10

Hi, since updating to 9816 my evohome RV's are not updated anymore.
status keep staying on "Permanent override". In the switches tab I can change the status but on the floorplan no update of the changes.
Also temp graphs of the EVO are not displayed anymore.

Still on 9700 base version. So no, not (yet) having the issue.

You're not saying what hardware type though. Domoticz supports four different ways to connect to Evohome. Which one(s) are you using?

This actualy started happening to my system whilst still on stable. I use HGI 80. Same problem as described. I power cycled the HGI 80 which worked and now all is ok.

I upgraded to latest beta over the weekend and all Evohome / Domoticz working fine except none of the Evohome devices logs would display. This required a manual clearing of the caches in Chrome. Now all working satisfactory.

Do you have your HGI 80 assigned to a persistent USB port or does it change every time you restart?

I spoke too soon. I see the current data for all Evohome zones, but the log/history is empty. Clearing the Appcache didn't help.

This is a bit strange.

I can get graphs on my Surface Pro:-

But I can't get them working on my Work PC or my Android tablet. I have tried clearing appcache etc and using incognito mode in Chrome, also tried IE but no results. I can't figure it out.

So effectively you are saying that the data is in fact there and this is a client issue?

Did you also clear the browser cache? Renewing the appcache will still reference the browser cache to save on bandwidth while recreating it. If there is anything in there that has an incorrect (newer) timestamp then Domoticz will return an OK on using the cached version and the GUI may be crippled.

Confirmed, just cleaned browser cache (Chrome) "All Time", a couple of times. No log graphs for Evohome data however the custom graph works and other sensors log graphs are working. Will keep searching .......Image

Right. From above posts I figured you'd be looking at an empty graph, but after installing the latest beta on a test machine I now see that there is in fact no graph at all. It's an empty page that only shows the device name. Looking at Firefox web console I can also see that it is not fetching the graph data so it would appear that someone somewhere changed the decision parameters on this and evohome zones are no longer treated similar to temperature devices.

Luckily the data is still there in the database. Are you reporting this as an issue at GIT ?

Been doing some digging. When using the 9700 web content with current beta the graphs are shown. It appears that the log facility in the Web GUI was completely reorganized and Evohome's devicetype was not added to the list of temperature devices.

The complication here is that the associated devicetype - `Heating` - also includes devices that are not Temperature devices, so this is not going to be an easy fix.

Edit: I think I got it. PR on GitHub

PR added to mainline.

If you don't like to wait or build a new version first, since this change affects the www pages only you can simply apply the patch to your current installation. Remember to reload your appcache afterwards.
