My system became fully unreachable. Has hardcoded dhcp in my router to get n.n.1.40 but cannot connect anymore.
Any options to find out how to connect to it so i can upgrade the crash fix when it becomes available?

Not getting an IP address has nothing to do with this crash. Only the domoticz process crashes and your RPi should still be reachable. Can you ping your RPi?

@sweetpants.

Can even no longer ping the rpi. It seems to start booting, but cannot connect in any way.

That is weird, the reported crash is domoticz only related. Everything else should just work fine. From a distance it's hard to tell what is going on. Maybe you can connect a keyboard and screen and see if you get some messages there?

@sweetpants,

Not that easy but will see what i can do. It's currently in the cupboard where all the electricity/internet comes into the house....

In via keyboard/tv hdmi, it logs in into grafical interface can enter my id/password and after that i can ping it.
Rebooted. Same login prompt on tv but also i can ping it. Did already try ./updatebeta. But graphical interface of Domoticz is still not there. Needs to wait for fix. Seems i can handle it from here (for now :) )

Great you have it back. Yes, latest Beta will crash right after startup. Already reported on Github, waiting for a quick fix.

Hi,

According recommendation, I have installed Domoticz on Debian Squeez. There appeared problem with installation.
Precompiled Domoticz required libssl.so.1.0.0 library but Squeez has newer version viewtopic.php?t=22303. So I compiled Domoticz from source without any problem since now.
After upgrade I cannot start Domoticz, it require libssl.so.1.0.0 again.
Is that mean, for upgrade I have to comiple it again?

Is there any possibility to repair this depedency in future update?

Please do not hijack an existing topic but open a new one, this crash is resolved in V4.9815.

BTW, how did you upgrade, Using git pull && make (as you compiled by source) or binary update?

OK I will open new topic

I updated by "updatebeta" script. Thru web interface domoticz does not see any updates.
I guess it's not proper way to update...

Yes, if you compile from source then it's better to update via git (git pull && make)
