Basic auth?

Does it work if you turn it off?

Tried with Login page, tried by adding local network exception for login. Nothing helped.
BTW API calls work seamlessly.

Hi all,

Everything was working with Version 3.5878.
Unfortunately I have just updated to 3.8153 on a raspberry pi... And I get the same problem with iOS Safari.
I have tested the problem with iOS 9.3.5 on a iPad and iOS 10.3.3 on an iPhone:
I confirm that the empty page arrived only if Safari is set to private browsing, it appears for both local connection (192.168.0.###) and remote connection (www.#######.com).

Firefox on a computer is working and my iOS app "Pilot" is also working...

Thank for helping,
Regards,

There have been some changes recently (today/yesterday)

Mac systems:
- Clear your browser AND appcache (two different things)

iOS:
If you have added domoticz from safari to your homescreen, delete the icon there
From 'Settings'/Safari, clear all browser data

Now you should be fine again

iOS:
Once on the dashboard page, add a shortcut to your homescreen for the native app

Hello all,

All the tricks didn't work.

Thats because the real reason for black screen was: "Browsing in Private Mode"!

In Safari private following error occurs:

[Error] QuotaExceededError (DOM Exception 22): The quota has been exceeded.
(anonyme Funktion) (domoticz.xyz.de:279)
i (jquery-1.12.0.min.js:2:27457)
fireWith (jquery-1.12.0.min.js:2:28217)
ready (jquery-1.12.0.min.js:2:30020)
K (jquery-1.12.0.min.js:2:30376)

So, simply don't use private browsing for Domoticz and everything is fine again!!!

On iOS devices the issue will also happen in safari private mode

Thanks for spending time to help with that issue!
D.

Thanks fur the feedback... Maybe you can specify the appcache size or disable this on private mode...
Do you have the range issues with chrome?

Hi,

It's just Safari throws in private mode.

What i found out is Safaris didn't support localstorage in private mode. Others also report about this behavior: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/71593

It seems Safari expose a feature and later didn't grant to allocate these resources. Strange...

Thanks,
D.

There are more platforms where private browsing does not support caching anymore, like television browsers, and other equipment with embedded browsers. In most cases is turning off private browseing solves it. Looks like manufacturers disencourage the use of private browsing.
Never the less even Chrome is now also posting messages in the console log :

Hi,
I also have this issue for half a year or so.
Just in Safari on iphone6 (latest ios).
Via Chrome app on iphone I have perfect access to Domticz. (both via home wifi and via internet)
Just there is no way to create a shortcut on iphone for a chrome page.
So it would be a very nice to have to have the safari issue resolved.

Any suggestions as it seems many users have no problems with this???

Hi,
Version: 3.8153
Platform: Pi 1
Plugin/Hardware:

I had the same problem with safari on a iPhone 6S and android devices.
After a "curl -L install.domoticz.com | sudo bash" update and the question if https access was required, I turned https access on.
The problem still occurs using the http://IP-address:8080 access but does not occur when using the https://ip-address:443 access.

Regards,
Race-eend
