Hi,

no project is still alive, REALLY alive ! I hope too we will have a new stable soon. I'm waiting this new stable to use Aurora Theme. I cannot use beta, my domoticz control all my house and MUST be very stable AND it is currently the case.

So let be patient.

Maybe some person close from the project could give us more info on new release (end of summer, enf of year, July ?).

Cheers,
Bueno

Which new release? I have not heard of a new stable being released any time soon. All depends on developers having time to make a new stable version.

I have a proposal for endless betas and no stable release around the corner - please stop adding new functionalities until latest beta is stable enough to be released/renamed to stable.
Otherwise Domoticz will become dead platform - at least for those of us who can only afford to have installed stable releases (when used i.e. as security alarm).

I actually completely agree with this. Why don't you fix the problems first and then release stable and then after that maybe add some new features. And of course now that we haven't got a stable release we also don't have security updates...

+1 for a new stable version. Current one is getting pretty old now.
I also agree with the folks requesting a more structured approach towards releases. No doubt developers and contributers are working hard to bring new features and fixes! Highly respected! But I also think that it should not be forgotten to build stable versions based on the stuff done and tested, pottentially at the price of little slower development of new functionality. It should not be to difficult to branch current version, test, fix and release a stable version and merge fixes back into the development branche. My team does that all the time for the business software we develop! I even believe Domoticz will benefit of it, more people will use it and find bugs. Result Domitcz will get better!

Again respect and appreciation for all working on this great product. Love it, use it, want to stay with it!

Ralph

Stop complain. They do everything to make a great system. Otherwise build your own system. Or install latest beta and make a backup before doing that. I don't have any issues with latest beta version.
