Mi Flora plugin fails

Post by manjh » Wednesday 15 August 2018 16:37

I tried to install the Mi Flora plugin, went OK until I tried to pair the sensor.
On the command "sudo tools/btmgmt le on" I get an error message:
"Set connectable for hci0 failed with status 0x11 (Invalid Index)".

Looks like BT is not working on my R-Pi 3. I re-ran everything to install all pre-req packages etcetera, but no result.
Any ideas?
Hans

After several days of searching the web, and lots of trial-and-error, I finally found something that helped me solve the BT problem.
https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/q ... ooth-issue
It turns out there was a line in config.txt that disabled the BlueTooth.....
Perhaps this can be added to the instructions for Mi Flora installation?

OK, so now that BT is finally working, I stumbled on the next hurdle.
Currently I own one Xiaomi Flora device, and it shows up OK on the Android App that is available from the manufacturer.
But my R-Pi cannot find it in the scan.
Does anyone know the range of LE Bluetooth? Could the distance be too great?
