It seems like the system is running for a few seconds and then crashes.

What is going wrong here ?
I had to revert to the latest stable to get it running again.

Hi,

I just did another test. I have a testmachine that i updated to the latest beta. That is working just fine. The restored the database from the production machine.
After a few seconds domoticz crashed.
I then delete the database, do a ./updatebeta and it is working again.
Maybe this helps, the problem is in the database, i think but i don't know where to go from here.

Latest beta is 3.8355, so maybe update manually and see if that fixes it?

Sure it's a database problem? I'm on V3.8360 and have no problems

Hi Sweetpants,

I think its a database problem, the system is running fine on the latest stable. When i upgrade the system crashes.
After the crash i delete the database restart the system and then it is running fine with a empty database.
Also adding two virtual switches and a dventz script to the new database works fine. The newly added script is working just fine.

Then when i restore the original database the system crashes again, so i think it must be the database.

(V.8360) It seems that all external plug-ins cause the problem. I renamed the plugins folder - plugins_old and reinstalled ./updatebeta. It works. I hope to fix the problem. I only have three plugins (BroadLink, Battery zwave, Wemo).

Ok,

I use the buienradar plugin, but that isn't installed on the system i test on. It is just in the database of the production i use to debug on my test system.
But i will have a look tonight do rename the plugin folder and see what happens then.
Will let you know the result asap.

Hi,

I can confirm crashing on 1 Python plugin in current Beta - 3.8360 on RPi3.

It is unfortunately (or luckily) my own plugin for WeMo Switch :( Other used Python plugins (UPS PIco and Battery Z-wave) running OK.

Trying to debug, at first impression it looks like plugin system now does not like urllib.request Python module
My toys:
Raspberry Pi 3 + UPS PIco HV3.0 A Stack
Minibian (Raspbian Jessie) + Domoticz beta
RFLink 433 Gateway, 1wire DS18B20 temp sensors (GPIO)
RaZberry module + 2x Comet Z-Wave + Z-wave socket
---
Plugins: WeMo Switch, UPS PIco HV3.0A on GitHub

I can confirm the crash is due to python plugins. Using Kodi, Denon-marantz and buienradar plugins.
Moved all of them to the example folder, rebooted, and domoticz is starting up again.
Checked which one is causing the problem by moving them back into the plugins folder one-by-one.
Each one moved back is causing domoticz to crash.

log file is 1.5G by the way. I cleared it but it is 1.5G instantly when rebooted.

Beta Version V3.8363 is out - updated to this version but still the same problem - moving my only Python Plugin - Buienradar - to the Example folder, restart and the system is running again.
Problem seems likely not to be solved.

There is indeed a Python plugin issue with the latest versions. 3.8355 was running fine and 3.8360 & 3.8363 both crashed immediately at startup of domoticz on the plugins. renaming the directory made Domoticz start. Rolled back to a previous version for the moment.

I have the same issue. Last night I updated to the latest beta.
Domoticz does not start but crashed immediatel.

In my Domoticz log there is nothing logged.

For now I installed the latest release instead of the Beta.

Is there any idea what could be the problem?
