I'm a little confused now:

In the Utility tab I have a Dummy sensor counting lightning strikes, this looks like:

but on the dashboard it look like:

I think the Utility one is ok, but the dashboard one seems odd right??

Yeah, got it working a long time already, but only just noticed the difference in screens

I don't see a problem with the P1 Smart meter counter, so maybe it's the incremental counter ?
Quality outlives Quantity!

It's not a P1 smart meter issue.
It's not the incremental counter which in dasboard modus says "usage" while the counter should say for example "amount" or what you typed in Value Quantity.
In our example we count the thunderstrikes where i filled in Value Quantity "strikes"
