My staircase has lights on a motion sensor, scripted in Domoticz (so we won't fall down the stairs when nature calls at night). I'd be nice to add more colour to that to liven up such a central part of the house. For special occasions, like parties or the holidays, some interesting coloured mood lighting would certainly add to the atmosphere!

Count me in. I would use it in combination with presence detection. Depending on how many are at home I would change the color. If nobody is at home it should, randomly, be on looking like a television being on.

Please include me
I would like to use a couple of those for multiple purposes

1 would be above my entrance door: I already have a motion sensor already in place, and then depending on time, in its basic function the light would come up automatically with various color/intensity.

Further, I am thinking of having it display various colors routines on some specific dates/periods when people come close to the door
- family birthdays for sure
- and then other routines for Sint Marten (actually, maybe better not to... should be off that night, I always turn off the doorbell on that day!) , SinterKlaas (when kids come sing at the door :) ), then Xmas period, New Year

A second one should be somewhere in the living room, thinking about using it to leave visual signals to other family members: different simple color routines if presence is detected in the room (out of sight of outside): a message is waiting, alarm is on, etc

now, wouldn't that be fun :)

I'm in!

I would use it in the attic, where the doorbell is hardly hearable, to signal if there is someone at the door or if there is mail. Or even to signal if the front door opens, so my wife doesn't scare the crap out of me when she suddenly appears behind me.

In for a win!

Working on automating some crypto currency rates that make lights blink if rate is higher than before. Love it to be green in that case!

it would be placed in my living room for 'mood' lighting.... also plan to setup scenes properly on my domoticz ie for when we watch a film the fishtank light turns off the main light dims plus some broadlink control when i get chance to integrate that

I'm in! Would like to use in my youngest son's room and use it to let him know when he is allowed to get out of bed. So mom & dad can sleep without waking up to early.. :D
