display domoticz direct on Pi / local use without network

Post by MoS12 » Saturday 15 July 2017 13:00

Hello all,

I'm setting up my new home automation and came across the question what to do if my network fails one day.
As an alternative to control my devices with smart phone or other computers I want to use a small control panel directly connected to the Raspberry Pi.
But how do I open domoticz directly on the computer I'am running it on?

Thank you for help and best regards

You can attach a display to the raspberry pi. Either a touchscreen or conventional with keyboard
Synology NAS, PI3, ZWave, Xiamo zigbee devices, BTLE plant sensor

Thank you for your reply. Actually I'm about to do so but how do I open the domoticz software on the raspberry pi I am running it on? Normally I take another computer, go to web- interface and give in the ip-adress und the port to get to my domoticz / to my pi.
How can I open the domoticz interface without going through the internet / network? That's exactly why I want to use a local touch display.

Thanks!

Assuming you have a graphical environment installed on the pi, just open the web browser and got to http://127.0.0.1:8080 or whatever port you've set up.

Not sure what your options are if you've just got the light version of the OS installed.

Cheers

Scott

Thank you Scott!
That's what I was looking for.
I don't use the light OS but the full version and you advice works perfect for me.

Thanks to all again!
