There is a python file named /home/pi/domoticz/scripts/python/script_device_PIRsmarter.py. After deleting it, I managed to start domoticz.

Same problem as Brommetje and Marton. Seems to be - for me - related to the use of two python plugins.

indeed, installing python3-dev did the job.
can't remember i installed it with the previous stable version of domoticz.
if it is a necessity, perhaps it is an idea to put it in the installer so a complete package could be installed.

Cheers

Nice work, now the update function in Domoticz works as supposed. Unfortunately Domoticz will not work any longer after the update. Just the notice Domoticz is Offline appears.
I use the last version of Debian Jessie and that worked fine with the pre version of Domoticz. A fantastic program by the way, glad that my backup system is still working. Have the update function deactivated.

Make sure there is no file script_device_PIRsmarter.py is the domoticz/scripts/python directory. If it is there you can safely delete is, as it is an old example file causing issues.

Did a clean install. No script_device_PIRsmarter.py in the domoticz/scripts/python directory. Could it be that something that was in that specific file was included in a custom script?

Thank you very much for the update, i always look forward to new features.
however; yesterday i installed the new version on my windows machine, and all went well expect one thing, most of the IDX ids have changed the old ones dont work anymore and new ones were assigned to the same sensors.

this is mostly with motion sensors or anything that sends data back to Domoticz, i use Mysensors and i have plenty of rules, but not none of it works due to the change in IDs and none of the sensors are reporting back.
any idea why new ids were assigned? and is there a way i can fix this easily, otherwise i would need to reconfigure eveything, scripts, events and notifications and its hours of work.

please help because now my whole setup is broken
I have exactly the same. The MySensors devices are added again, all with one extra zero in the Device ID. So now I have for instance device 0000005 with all it's units and 00000005 with the same units. Restoring a backup of the database is not a solution, the devices are added again right after the restore.

when i start it using:

./domoitcz -www 8081

and stop it i see a error at the end

Code: Select all

does someone knows what this can be?

I'm not sure if this is related to the upgrade which I performed on as soon as released but my smoke and heat alarms and also my two sirens have not been seen since the upgrade.

At least that what it says in the 'Devices' tab. I noticed because I replaced the batteries in them and they still show their old battery levels and last seen as 31/07/2017. However if I go into 'Hardware' and 'setup' on my Razberry2 it shows the alarms nodes as last seen 10/08/2017.

My PIRs and Lights are reporting just fine - it only seems to affect the smoke detectors and sirens.

Any ideas as to whats going on and what I can do to solve it?

Warning my connection port was too high on the latest version, I was forced to lower it below 10000 to be able to restart domoticz

Gizmocuz,

Thanks for great work but you could mention that you've limited the port range on which DOMOTICZ can bind, as with previous version I was binding on ports >50000 but after upgrade my DOMOTICZ wouldn't launch. I figure out with current version it has to be below 32768. Any reason for this limitation ?

Best regards,
Greg

Before upgrading it is advised to:

- Make a backup of your database (from the settings page) and scripts folder(s)
- Raspberry Pi; Make a complete backup of the SD card
- Make a backup of the whole Domoticz installation folder

If the above steps are made, you should always be able to switch back in case there are troubles (which we hope not to see)

Domoticz will not be distributed anymore via a Raspbery Pi SD Card, but you can now install it via a single commandline:

Code: Select all

sudo curl -L install.domoticz.com | bash
The above should also work for other debian systems

To all who donated via PayPal to the Domoticz project, note that we really appreciate your donations.
They all have been received and used to buy new hardware to integrate into the system.
It is just that we could not yet reply to you all because of the little spare time we have!

So you mean to say that Domoticz crashes and then starts again? This isn't shown in the last log though.

Hello,

Great Job for this update.

Maybe just a little bug, but since this update it's impossible to add an 'ECO DEVICE', we can't add the IP and port for this device, when we choose 'ECO DEVICE'.

In last version it's works.

is there any way to add an device without the web interface, manually ?

SORRY NO BUG, MY MISTAKE WITH THE WEB BROTHER CACHE ... everything is ok

Hi,

so your Domoticz restarts repeatedly, logging your posted messages repeatedly ? Domoticz does not restart itself probably. What startup method of Domoticz do you use ? Script in /etc/init.d/domoticz.sh or Systemd unit (with Restart=on-failure) ?

Thanks again for all the hard work.
I have allthough an issue, maybe someone knows how to handle this.
Since the update the status of the door contacts in the floorplan are not updated anymore.
Lights and other items are ok.
In the switches screen however, the status of the door contacts are updated as it should be.
Any idea how to fix this?
