Hi Darlomrh,

Yes, I've used one for several months now.
It works perfectly well.

Great!
You should see no more "HTTP:connection failed" in the ESP log, and the ConnectFailures count will decrease.
Interestingly, I've never managed to get "host name" to work, always having to use IP address.

Yes, Controller IP needs to be that of your Domoticz machine.
Have you been looking at Tools->Log ?

Re: Getting Started - No data getting through to Domoticz from BME280 via ESPEasy setup

Did you create the Domoticz dummy device as a Temp+Hum+Baro ?
You'll need to put its device idx into the IDX/Variable (unless it really is 1).

Re: RFLink: List of supported devices

Hi Stuntteam,
I've captured this from a working Solla remote, and created a device, but it doesn't work, although it transmits correctly.

Re: blue moon in hardware status

The device is currently sleeping, so it's probably battery powered.
It doesn't always mean that the device will report just "once in a blue moon".

Re: Domoticz as the heating controller

Hi Baekmark,

I created an ESPEasy dummy device to hold the setpoint, it's updated by a rules event from Domoticz -
'curl -m 5 "http://Cylinder/control?cmd=event,Setpo ... herdevices['Cylinder setpoint']..'"'
I could find no way to compare this value with the actual temperature.

Re: Domoticz as the heating controller

Hej Baedmark, I'm also looking at how to control my heating with an autonomous ESP8266, in my case a Sonoff TH10. Using ESPEasy, it's straightforward to receive and store setpoints from Domoticz, and sent the actual temperature. However, I can't find a way with Rules to compare the setpoint and actu...

Re: Cheap 433 relay with switch support

I use my Sonoffs in Wifi mode, it seems more robust than 433MHz, and it's what ESPeasy is really good for!
What does your external switch do that the Sonoff's can't?
I just pushed a 4-pin header into the holes without soldering them.
Contact was good enough for flashing.

Re: [Plugin now available in Beta] Help with Yeelight Bulb

Hi Hekm77,
Thanks for your interest, but sorry to say I have not made a script.
What I have created is a library of functions that can be called from other Lua scripts.
It's intended for experienced users who do not need detailed instruction, and requires extra Lua libraries to be installed.

Re: Cheap 433 relay with switch support

Hi,
The Sonoff has the sort of button you want.
As Mayyam says, with ESPeasy you can program the device to toggle on a button press and update Domoticz, or switch on/off from Domoticz,
It is really neat bi-directional control.

Re: devicechanged is nil

Make sure it is a 'device' script, and try this to see what has triggered it -

Code: Select all

commandArray = {}
print ("we're going to check the state of the trigger")
for deviceName,deviceValue in pairs(otherdevices) do
    print(deviceName..' = '..deviceValue)
end
print("change tested")
return commandArray

Re: Solla Indoor Starry String Lights, 100 Led Firefly Fairy Lights 33ft Copper Wire Ambiance work with Domoticz

It seems to be just ARC. That gives this for the red power button - Packettype = Lighting5 subtype = BBSB new Sequence nbr = 176 ID = 077F70 decimal:491376 Unit = 1 Command = Group Off Signal level = 7 -64dBm However, using RFXmngr there is no 'BBSB new' option under Lighting 5.

Hi LouiS22,
I've got 2 RGBs that I use as warning, welcome, and night lights.
They flash different colours depending on the warning.
All controlled from Lua.
