Re: Cheap 433 relay with switch support

I use my Sonoffs in Wifi mode, it seems more robust than 433MHz, and it's what ESPeasy is really good for!
What does your external switch do that the Sonoff's can't?
I just pushed a 4-pin header into the holes without soldering them.
Contact was good enough for flashing.

Re: [Plugin now available in Beta] Help with Yeelight Bulb

Hi Hekm77,
Thanks for your interest, but sorry to say I have not made a script.
What I have created is a library of functions that can be called from other Lua scripts.
It's intended for experienced users who do not need detailed instruction, and requires extra Lua libraries to be installed.

Re: Cheap 433 relay with switch support

Hi,
The Sonoff has the sort of button you want.
As Mayyam says, with ESPeasy you can program the device to toggle on a button press and update Domoticz, or switch on/off from Domoticz,
It is really neat bi-directional control.

Re: devicechanged is nil

Make sure it is a 'device' script, and try this to see what has triggered it -

Code: Select all

commandArray = {}
print ("we're going to check the state of the trigger")
for deviceName,deviceValue in pairs(otherdevices) do
    print(deviceName..' = '..deviceValue)
end
print("change tested")
return commandArray

Is it by any chance a 'time' script?

Re: Solla Indoor Starry String Lights, 100 Led Firefly Fairy Lights 33ft Copper Wire Ambiance work with Domoticz

It seems to be just ARC. That gives this for the red power button - Packettype = Lighting5 subtype = BBSB new Sequence nbr = 176 ID = 077F70 decimal:491376 Unit = 1 Command = Group Off Signal level = 7 -64dBm However, using RFXmngr there is no 'BBSB new' option under Lighting 5.

As noted by Siewert308SW, all non-local variables in the calling script are available in the called script.

Hi LouiS22,
I've got 2 RGBs that I use as warning, welcome, and night lights.
They flash different colours depending on the warning.
All controlled from Lua.

Re: LUA On Action and Off Action tables?

The usual way is to use a 'script_device_whatever.lua run on ANY devicechange'.
In the script, test for your devices by name to see which one has changed.
See script_device_demo.lua in the scripts/lua directory

Re: Horstmann C-Stat 11-ZW + Aeon Labs Aeotec Gen 5 Z-Wave

What have you tried?
How far apart are they?
Mine work well - in Domoticz I go to Setup->Hardware->Zwave Setup->Node management->Include node
Then on the C-stat - Setup->Setup Z wave->Learn.
The Domoticz 'Including ZWave Node' popup then shows the new node. Hopefully.

You can get Wifi switches such as Sonoff which have pushbuttons, and 2-way communications.

Re: Using Energenie remote control to trigger Domoticz

I've got the 10 button ENER002-C - button presses are correctly detected by RFlink.
Don't think that RFXtrx can receive them.

Re: Solla Indoor Starry String Lights, 100 Led Firefly Fairy Lights 33ft Copper Wire Ambiance work with Domoticz

Hi Michaelb101,

I've just got one of these.
Have you been able to get Domoticz to control them?
All of the remote's buttons are recognised by RFlink, but when added as devices they don't control the lights.
I'm guessing that RFlink doesn't capture and/or send the full command.

It can also be done directly in Lua, just like JSON.
There's an XML.lua file available, and LuaRocks has at least one library.

Re: Cheap Chinese WIFI module

Further update! No need for any of that MQTT malarkey! It can be done by adding 'Devices' and 'Rules' with the ESPeasy web interface, and setting Domoticz Switch on/off actions to something like - http://172.16.176.25/control?cmd=event,TurnOn where TurnOn is a Rule. And GPIO-0 is the pushbutton on a...

Re: Cheap Chinese WIFI module

Hi All, Much to my surprise I've managed to flash my Wifi-only Sonoff with ESPEasy v147, and configure it with its web interface. I've managed to follow the "Tutorial Domoticz Switch" all the way to the bottom, apart from working out how to "toggle GPIO-0 " in the Testing section. So, how to do the ...

Hi Ben53252642,
Is it a 'Time' script, rather than a 'Device' script?
That's invariably what "attempt to index global 'devicechanged' " means!
