Re: ELV Max! Heating control system

I'm using the Python library 'maxcube' #!/usr/local/bin/python3 import socket import time from maxcube.cube import MaxCube from maxcube.connection import MaxCubeConnection class Cube: def __init__(self, utils=None): try: self.mconfig = utils.config["MaxCube"] self.CubeName = self.mconfig.get('name',...

Re: Digoo DG-R8S 433MHz Hygrometer Thermometer

I've got a Digoo TH8868 and a TH8888.
Very nice displays, but the remote sensors are not seen by RFlink nor RFX.

Re: React on RSS feed

Python has an RSS feedreader library.
It seems to be possible in LUA as well, which makes integration easier.
How frequently would you want to check the feed?

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products

What you want is LiFePO4 rechargeables.
They have the same voltage as the non-rechargeable ones.
In my Fibaro motion sensors they last over 3 months.
I bought 4 complete with the matching charger.
Ordinary Li-on chargers won't work.

Re: EventSystem - Python: Failed dynamic library load, install the latest libpython3.x library that is available

I don't know if this will help you, but I had to add an entry to the bottom of my .bashrc file, just before the PYTHONPATH entry -

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Re: Cant reach web interface (Raspberry PI)

D'rMorris - thanks for the commands! I've now done them on my Pi2, so will wait to see what happens. Domoticz has been crashing randomly for the last couple of weeks. I'm always on the 'latest' beta version, or a day behind, so it doesn't seem version specific. Nothing to see in the logs, nor in the...

Re: What is the most stable platform to run Domoticz?

Perhaps I'm lucky, or tempting fate, but I've been using a "Samsung Memory 16 GB PRO Micro SDHC Memory Card" in my Pi2 since the end of 2015.

Re: How to read/write a list (array) into a variable?

If it's a dict-type list, write/read it as JSON.
Otherwise perhaps as a Lua list string "{val1, val2, ...}"

Python 3 helper service

Hi all, I'm developing a helper service in Python 3. It's to run all of the network and internet calls I use for Domoticz. Originally these were handled directly by several Lua scripts, but I started getting more and more timeout errors - script running for more than 10 seconds. My inspiration was E...

It should remember the last IP address it was set to.
Perhaps try to find it with an IP scanner?

Re: NodeMCU and ESPEasy

User ID?
If you mean "Controller User:" then no, you don't need it.
I'm sure you've set the device IDX to match Domoticz.
Does the ESPeasy log show anything?

Definitely cool!
As Number8 says, plus which version of Domoticz?
Yes, please, to Python3
I enabled the example script as Device type, but no messages are logged.

Re: Text sensor displaying air traffic overhead

I use the JSONView Chrome Extension to view the result of a JSON url.
Damnet, thanks for the aeroplane link.
Are you running it every minute?
If you make it a Lua Time script, you won't need all that time stuff.
They run every minute anyway.

Re: Sonoff Switch

Hi Corederoma82,

Yes it can work fully with Domoticz, bidirectional!
I have 2, and there are many others using them.
You first have to upgrade its software, most people use ESPeasy.

Re: switch SONOFF with MQTT

MQTT works OK, it's just another level of complexity.
I think that some things have to use it, otherwise you need to write some custom code.

Re: switch SONOFF with MQTT

Hi again,
As far as I can tell, ESPeasy will update Domoticz directly with a JSON call - very fast.
In the other direction you can put the HTTP command to an ESPeasy rule directly into a switch device.

Re: switch SONOFF with MQTT

Hi Stokstaart,
There are several similar topics and a Wiki for Sonoff integration.
No need for MQTT, it works directly.
Might be worthwhile updating to ESPeasy v147.
