Re: All timers stopped to function

I took a look a couple of hours ago and it looked like 2008 was still pending. Even with the current (latest) beta, many timer functions still worked - what definitely didn't work was sunrise and sunset based timers, and some users reported that timers set to trigger exactly on the hour were problem...

Re: Cant find devices in IOS homekitt (http 401 issue?)

Firstly the warning messages are normal and can be ignored Secondly it looks as if Homebridge is bailing out because the config file has a line MQTT:1 which enables the Mosqitto system but it's complaining that this has not been configured in Domoticz. Have you installed the MQTT system in Domoticz?...

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature

And that was exactly what the issue was! Annoyingly I still can't get it to work on the Domoticz beta releases, crashes soon after startup with a Segmentation Fault error, are you using beta or the release/stable version and are you on Raspbian Jessie or Stretch? I'm planning on clean building a new...

Clean Installation - Jessie or Stretch

I've been using Domoticz for quite a while now and I think the time has come to clean build a new card and migrate across to it. Currently I am on Raspbian Stretch and the stable/release version of Domoticz, until recently I was happily using the latest beta releases but am now having trouble with s...

Re: changing https port, after install.

I think you may have edited the wrong file

Change the port assignment in
/etc/init.d/domoticz.sh

and then restart the domoticz service (no need to bounce the hardware)

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature

This is a really good plugin but I'm having an issue with the latest version (posted above on 2nd Jan) I install the plugin OK and configure it but no devices are created and in the log I get the following 2018-01-04 11:23:46.177 (Hive Devices) Initialized version 0.3.2, author 'imcfarla and MikeF' ...

Re: General Issue with Python Plugins - Domoticz Beta

Ah right, thanks for the head's up. I'll need to investigate this a bit more. It would certainly explain why this plugin falls over on the beta release.

Re: General Issue with Python Plugins - Domoticz Beta

Yes my bad, I should have mentioned that I was referring to the plugin which was referenced towards the end of that thread. Python 3.5 is installed OK and the directory you mention does exist. I agree it does have every sign of being an issue with the Python installation but if that was the case the...

Re: Installing Domoticz the "easy" way doesn't work?

Yep trying to download packages directly can be a bit frustrating as paths change and stuff gets moved about, better to use the built-in tools to get packages. What you need to do is 1) Edit the file which tells Raspbian where to get packages and updates from, thats the file called sources.list foun...

Re: Installing Domoticz the "easy" way doesn't work?

The current version of Domoticz requires a specific ssl library which isn't available in the standard installation of Raspbian Stretch. Although this is probably the reason it's not working, you can check first by making an SSH connection to your Pi, changing to the domoticz directory and then runni...

General Issue with Python Plugins - Domoticz Beta

I've been running the latest beta versions of Domoticz for some time now, I'm aware that there are a couple of issues with timers (particularly relating to Sunrise and Sunset times) but I can live with the until the pending fix is merged in and a new beta is available. Recently though I came across ...

Re: Read British Gas Hive Heating temperature

I've only just stumbled across this thread and having a Hive thermostat and a couple of bulbs, I thought I'd give it a try. I can confirm that the script causes the latest beta version of Domoticz to fail but running it on the latest stable release works perfectly. I actually have two RPis set up wi...

Re: Cheap 433MHz door sensor (with open and close)

Can you tell wich type of battery is used in this switch? If you follow the link in the first post it says: Power Supply:DC 12V(12V 23A battery) Yes it does say that but it must be a misprint somewhere - a battery that can supply 23A at 12 V is a car battery! I suspect, looking at the other similar...

Re: Domoticz App

For what it's worth, I'm not seeing any errors with the logs, variables or events. Pressing the Buttons displays the relevant info just fine on my iPhone. I'll try it on the iPad when I get a chance.

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration

I hate it when that happens, it means it's something at my end then :D Anyway forget about not being able to log in, that was 'pilot error' on my part, I had a VPN open to one of my clients' site updating a server and I think the routing went a bit weird. What I did find is that the password for the...

Re: Domoticz App

Updated and it works... Also fixed the 'Weather' tab being blank which I supposed makes sense if it was the barometer device causing the issues!

All looking good, just purchased the premium version.

Re: Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration

And suddenly no devices responding and all are showing as Offline in the Alexa app-was working fine earlier this afternoon.

Neither do I seem to be able to login to the Controlicz website.

Anyone else having issues or just me?

Re: Domoticz App

Why yes I do have a (virtual) barometer device.

I've just dumped the entire son output to a text file which I'll PM across to you if that's OK? I've emboldened the section for the barometer device (it's ID 198) if it makes it easier for you to find and debug.

Best wishes

Re: Domoticz App

OK this is a bit odd, just like 'Clemen' who posted above, my installation just seems to hang up at the verifying connection stage, no indication what's wrong or if it's doing anything. But if I go back to the initial splash screen and opt to connect to the demo setup that seems to work OK. From tha...
