Re: Python Plugin: Smart Virtual Thermostat

I tried setting everything to the lowest possible, and it kinda worked. As a test I put the heating element in my oven, and tried to let it heat up to 50 degrees. Originally it swung between 50 and 80 degrees, but later calmed down to between 48 and 58. So it worked! It seemed to have a granularity ...

Re: Looking for RF Link 433 schematic

If you just want to switch some cheap 433 wall sockets, you can also have a look at the RF 433 Python plugin. It clones 433 RF signals. Very simple, you can just connect the receiver and transmitter directly to your Raspberry Pi.

Re: Python Plugin: Smart Virtual Thermostat

I'm trying to use the SVT as the controller for a meat smoker, and have the same question: what would be the optimal settings for something like that?

Re: Aurora theme

@jeanclic: i don’t know about the sliding issue. It doesn’t sound like it’s really an issue? @tontze: - yes, you can only merge simple items (see the manual). Hmm, I thought I had added code that made it impossible to even try doing that. Guess not :-) - that’s not the blinds icon, that’s the switch...

Re: Python plugin: Xiaomi Mi Flower Mate

UPDATE I've uploaded a new version of the plugin that may fix the bluetooth issue. The plugin now uses the heartbeat function to poll one sensor per heartbeat. - This could give more space between polls, and thus prevent the Bluepy helper from crashing if users have a lot of Flower Mates. - This als...

Re: user variable as setpoint

in the Aurora theme you can change the value of a text element directly in the interface. Perhaps that could be another route.

Re: Aurora theme

@bdormael: the items position and and order is linked to their containers/type. Technically it would be possible to 'fish out' some items and store their ID in a user variable. And then always load these items into the special "highlighted" container when the page is built. Not a bad idea. But in a ...

Re: Python plugin: Xiaomi Mi Flower Mate

@idanit: you are using a older version that still has debugging output enabled. @Oliwier: how many Flower Mates do you have? I have tested it with 2. I also got the error you mentioned, but fixed that by adding a bit more time between readings of all the sensors. Perhaps if you have more than 2 it n...

@Xztraz: thanks! @Olinek2: I have no idea. Have you cleared your application cache? tried different browsers? What device are you on? Re: Python plugin: Python plugin installer!

@ycahome: that is the direction Domoticz is/should be heading. See this feature request: https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/2057 It has also been discussed with Gizmocus. But there is no time path. A more practical reason why it's not really possible to create a more complex plugin to manag...
