Re: Domoticz says it's running, but webserver is not?

@ayasystems: thanks. The logging was already enabled. but the file is empty whenever I look at it.

not being able to update is curious.

Perhaps the filesystem has gotten read-only permissions somehow?
Or perhaps Domoticz cannot access the internet?

Re: Cheap 433mhz sockets compatible with rfxcom at "action"

I built the 433 clone plugin, it allows the Raspberry Pi to completely copy 433Mhz signals without needing to know a lot about new types of encoding of the signal. I use it with the Action switches.

Domoticz says it's running, but webserver is not?

I don't know what caused it, but I can't access the web interface anymore. I says 'domoticz offline', or it just crashes the browser window. I don't know what caused it: - I did update to the latest beta's - accidentally installing the PP-Manager python plugin again (clicked 'save' instead of 'updat...

Zigbee over NRF24

I just stumbled upon this project and was wondering if this would be relevant to Domoticz. Could it allow Domoticz zo add some level of Zigbee support for $1,50?

Re: Python plugin: Xiaomi Mi Flower Mate

For me the plugin works intermittently. The problem is difficult to pinpoint. - Was it a problem with too many devices being called at once? Well, I made it so that it only polls one device per heartbeat. But the problem remained. - Was it a problem with the switch position? Well, I made it into a p...

Re: which protocol to use

It's not a matter of protocol, but what you want: - Ready made devices? Then Zigbee and Xiaomi things might be nice. - The privacy of encrypted communication? Most cheap 433mhz devices don't have encryption. - Security and leaks? Then don't use too many wifi devices, or not on your normal network. -...

Re: Aurora theme

@fmal: if that's the mobile dashboard, then there's not much I can do. The mobile dashboard is generated by Domoticz. I guess it may be possible to hide the link visually through css. But it would still be a link.

Re: Aurora hack [custom backgrounds for roomplans]

It's hard to implement in a user friendly way because there is no file upload method. I guess it might be possible to store URL's to images on the web in a user variable. But that would not be very privacy friendly: the webserver would know everytime you use Domoticz.

Re: Python Plugin: Python Plugin Manager

Another nice theme:

Time to dust-of the idea of letting this plugin install themes too?

Re: html code like font color don't work anymore

Domoticz is full of ancient html. You could replace <font> with <span style="color:red"> for example. But then you are still following ancient practices. The whole idea of CSS is that you separate content and styling. So ideally you would do: <span class="alert">this is an alert</span> or <span clas...

Re: Aurora theme

@devros: I've added the horizontal menu fix.
I'm not sure how the other CSS lead to the fix of the buttons ow fitting in the item. The item seams wider, while the fix implies that the buttons become narrower.

I've also added a fix for the missing option buttons.

Re: Aurora theme

@rednas: You can only merge simple items. Or try adding one switch to the mix.

I've added a fix for the dropdown.

Re: Aurora theme

@quack3D: ah yes, that color cannot be changed via the interface. But you can add your own CSS to do that. I was hoping people would share CSS for such small things. @rednas: - Yes, the clock is different. You cannot move it. - The block shadow is replaced by a red line in your case. It cannot show ...
