Re: Remeha eTwist

i did send a email to the customer service for the ETA of the Public API. unfortunately no expected date. they already acomplished that its compatible with 'IFTTT' (If This Then That) Then you have better results than I: when I asked them a while ago, the answer was very simple: "no API, no plans f...

I realize this is not really a Domoticz question, but I'm sure there is lots of expertise here on this... ;)
Then post it in the general section of the forum
Apologies. Just submitted it there.

check & remount NAS

I have a small problem with my R-Pi, combined with a NAS for storage. It does not happen often, but in case of a power failure, as soon as power comes back on, both the R-Pi and NAS restart. The Pi is quicker than the NAS, resulting in a failing NAS mount. It does not repair this automatically, but ...

verbose backup

I've run into database corruption a few times now, and every time it was a struggle to get out of it. A straight forward DB restore sometimes also restores the corruption. Made me think of a potential improvement. Before I raise this at Github, just wanted to throw it out there and see how the commu...

Re: Remeha eTwist

OK, I have tested my OTGW with ESPEasy unit for WIFI communication, with the Remeha Tzerra 28c plus, and eTwist thermostat (Room Unit). Although the Tzerra is controlled with OpenTherm, the eTwist is not. To make it work, Remeha provides a small white box, called E-twist gateway. The wire between th...

Re: Domoticz frozen

As always with systems in production status, I did not have time to investigate further, so I removed Domoticz from the Raspberry, re-installed, and restored the newest backup that I could find. It all works again, except that I somehow lost all log entries and devices that I changed since June 16.....

Re: Domoticz frozen

With the auto backup turned off, I thought it might be a good idea to make a manual backup, so I will have "something" when I need it. This also breaks Domoticz! It starts making the backup, but after a while shows "failed - network error" in the browser bar. At this point Domoticz is down again... ...

Re: Domoticz frozen

I switched the auto backup off last night, and all is well this morning. Just for the sake of it I switched it back on just now, 2 minutes before the hour. I then watched the log and saw the backup procedure start. Then waited a while..... nothing. After a few minutes, still nothing. Frozen... Went ...

Re: Domoticz frozen

The downside of using Monit is the fact that it will cure the symptom, but not the root cause. One thing that came to mind when I looked back at the times Domoticz froze, was the time: when I looked at logs of devices that give me feedback every minute (such as a temp sensor), the last log entry bef...

Re: Domoticz frozen

But what can I put in place to catch this when it happens again? Many topics are available in the forum on this subject and I use Monit as described in the wiki. Jos Ah, of course. I remember I had this in place a long time ago, and I also remember I removed it for some reason. Unfortunately I forg...

Domoticz frozen

Version: 4.9866 Platform: R-Pi Plugin/Hardware: RFLink Description: Domoticz has frozen this morning. This afternoon I noticed there was no reply on the webinterface. I logged on to the R-Pi, but there is nothing to be seen (except uptime: about 7 days since restart) I restarted using "sudo service ...

convert seconds into day:hour:minute:seconds

Before I start doing this in separate calculations, is there a simple function? I have a numeric value (uptime in seconds), which I would like to convert into a presentation that is more human-friendly.... such as for example "2 days, 5 hours, 10 minutes, 5 seconds". Is there a clever function for t...

Sorry, got it. Similar mistake.
This one works:

Code: Select all

local minutes = domoticz.devices(name).lastUpdate.minutesAgo

Re: dzvents script does not trigger

Please look at the timer examples in the documentation carefully. You have to use the proper syntax: on = { timer = { 'every minute' } } Thanks, makes sense. It was a user error, but in my defense: I "borrowed" a script from the forum and inherited the error... It now stumbles over this s...

dzvents script does not trigger

I am very sure this is a solid user error on my side, but I have been staring at this for a while and simply donot see what is wrong. I want to create a dzvents script that is triggered every minute. Using the Domoticz editor, I created a script: Name "test", type "dzVents", triggered by "all" (I al...

As soon as I find some free time I will put it together and assemble it. But then it will take me a while before I g...

Overview of used codes (e.g. KAKU)

I have been using Domoticz for a few years now, and use KAKU (KlikAanKlikUit) to switch lights etcetera. With the old KAKU units you would use the two dials to set the address, newer units "learn" the code. By now this has grown out of control, because I did not keep track of which code was used for...

I wonder if it is caused by the bluetooth dongle? I've a cheap chinese generic one. The Flower Care app on Android works very well so i doubt the issue is with the plant sensors.
I doubt if the dongle is the issue here. I use a Raspberry-Pi model 3 with integrated BT, and have similar issues.
