Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin

Temperature sensors are still supported only in 3rd apps (EVE)? Edit: seem to be not. My simple virtual temperature sensor is working in the Homekit app. But I have other BME280 sensor Baro+Temp+Hum, which is not supported, only in EVE. I have a Yeelight RGBW lamp, which is recognized correctly as ...

One more question: My thermostat in Homekit is showing 24C, but it's set to 23.5. Homekit doesn't support decimal places? { "ActTime" : 1519932924, "AstrTwilightEnd" : "19:12", "AstrTwilightStart" : "04:43", "CivTwilightEnd" : "18:00", "CivTwilightStart" : "05:55", "DayLength" : "11:03", "NautTwili...

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin

the two folders removed and it works again. Do I have to remove the two folders every couple of days to keep it working? Nope... removing the two folders is a brute force fix to completely reset your homebridge config and have it redetect devices from scratch. It generally fixes everything at the h...

Re: Controlling EvoHome modes using HomeBridge

When I change the temperature in Domoticz, I can choose if I want to temporarily override the schedule or permanently override the schedule. In the Apple Home app my EvoHome devices show 4 available modes: off, heating, cooling and auto. I assumed the mode "auto" implied to temporarily override the...

Re: Homebridge and light temperature

That is correct. There is no light temperature support in homebridge-edomoticz, as Domoticz doesn't expose HSV values etc via JSON API. You'll have to find a YeeLight-specific Homebridge plugin. See ongoing discussions at https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/is ... -368236622

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin

Remove the bridge from your home. Delete the accessories and persist folders from ~/.homebridge Restart homebridge. Add the bridge back to your home using the Apple Home.app - once the bridge is added it will then prompt you to add any switches / sensors configured within Domoticz (in whatever room ...

Re: Raspberry pi 2 Serial port

Personally, I'd (install &) fire up Node-Red with a node listening to the serial port, listen for the message, reformat the message to comply with Domoticz JSON API , then fire a http request to the relevant Domoticz device via the JSON API. Quick and easy to get up & running & test / experiment... ...

Re: iOS app: Homebridge for RaspberryPi

It's just a manager to allow you to setup, configure & add plugins to your homebridge server from iOS. Works fine with homebridge & homebridge plugins, therefore works fine with homebridge-edomoticz. You'd still use your HomeKit app of choice to actually communicate with & control Domoticz. Your bas...

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin

Sorry - I assumed removing and re-adding the bridge would purge and rebuild the accessories cache. Guess not!! Glad you’re sorted now...!

Hap Warnings are safe to ignore. It’s just a warning that the device will be unsupported in Home.app as it maps to a non-standard characteristic.

Re: Domoticz harmony hub does not show up in homekit

You just need to set up and enable MQTT for realtime updates, then commands are pretty much instantaneous (depending on Pi load). See first post in the Homebridge-edomoticz Plugin thread... "Enabling MQTT For improved realtime updates" section.

Re: homebridge-edomoticz Plugin

Device name in Domoticz makes the UUID of the Accessory in Homebridge. Change the name in Domoticz and it can't work out what device to change in Homebridge as it can no longer find a UUID match. Long story short: if renaming things in Domoticz, remove and re-add your Bridge in Homekit. Note, in Eve...

Homebridge supports a maximum of 100 devices... from opening post of thread: q: I have LOTS of devices and can’t connect to Homebridge a: Create a room plan within Domoticz. Re: Domoticz harmony hub does not show up in homekit

You need to click the green arrows to make those devices active so that they appear under the "Switches" tab. Once that's done, Homebridge-edomoticz should just detect them as regular switches same as any other (after you've restarted homebridge).
