Re: Clock/timer device

Maybe you could use to virtual thermostat devices.
There you can use the up/down arrows to set the value and read them from your script.

Re: Case study using Domoticz

Nice project indeed!

How did you define the heat-up rate, and how did you implement that in scripting?

Re: Turn screen on android tablet off help.

You will need to install ADB on your domoticz machine, instructions can be found here: https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/ Then, from command line and thus from scripts also, you can use the ADB command Keyevents which is described here : https://stackoverflow.com/questio...

Re: SQL update bug v3.8631

% sign is also not encoded properly. I would still go for the string.gsub method, but replace "It's" with "It is". That way it's solved and still grammatically correct. The other solution would be to replace "It's" with nothing, but then You get a more telegram-style phrase. I did a simular thing w...

Re: Quote of the Day Module

Hi emme, I saw you post and for the fun of it I wrote following in dzvents. Instead of creating a file with quotes it gets the quote of the day from http://quotes.rest/ In my example it writes it to a Text sensor but it can of course be used anywhere. local quotefile = '/tmp/quote.json' -- Temporary...

Re: create seperate wind sensors (direction strenght)

Hi, This might be something for you. I don't know about Dashticz as I do not use it. I made following (dzVents) script and created 4 virtual sensors: Beaufort - a custom sensor with Bft as axis Label Wind Condition - a text sensor with the Beaufort description Wind Description - a text sensor that s...

Re: create seperate wind sensors (direction strenght)

Hi,

You could use dzvents to first read the separate values you want direction and then write them to the virtual sensors you create for them.
(for example: wDir = domoticz.devices('yourWindsensor').direction)

Couldn't you just delete the script file (or rename)?

And in your settings page of Domoticz you have your local network indicated?

That can be solved with the solution provided in http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic ... am#p149864 (an easy search in the forum brought me there)

Re: Transfer sensor data

Use the replace button for the sensors.
Add the new sensor (the p1 smartmeter) to the system.
Then go to the Toon sensor and click it's Edit button. Then click Replace and select your new device.

Re: Timer Plan Edit

If you are sure you have it on port 80 maybe try putting it also in the url.
Are you sure you allow your local network to connect without authentication?

Re: Moon phase

You could also skip the second IF.
If moonriseHour is nil then moonriseMinutes is also nil so:

Code: Select all

if moonriseHour == nil then
moonriseHour = '--'
moonriseMinute = '--'
end

Re: Moon phase

something like if moonriseMinute == nil then moonriseMinute = '--' end (and same for the rest of the fetched values)
That should avoid giving an error and in your textsensor would get --:--

Here is a variant of achieving the same result. 2 lines of code and an additional line for logging. local t = {[10]='08360', [20]='08085', [30]='07510', [40]='07130', [50]='07037', [60]='06431', [70]='06431', [80]='07385'} local zmw = t[tonumber(domoticz.devices('Ubica').rawData[1])] domoticz.log('...

Re: Notification pushover --> failed

This is due to the issues with the latest Betas, has been discussed in many topics lately. Answer is rather easy: revert to stable version. As an alternative you can use this info : LINK to directly call the api from within your scripts instead of using the builtin functions. I did the same for my N...
