I can get it working with tts if I choose an individual device but not if I choose everywhere?

Has anyone got it working with the everywhere device?

Thanks
Fred
If I do:
./alexa_remote.sh -d ALL -e speak:'Hello!'

I will have all my dots say 'Hello!'

Re: Alexa text to speech

Oh wait, you need to put your language to de, don't worry, it's just for the script to login. No.it brings no imrprovement What did work is installing a chrome add on to dump cookies, and save the login cookies to /tmp/.alexa.cookie (or something like that). Interesting. Can you tell me more? - The...

Re: Alexa text to speech

You definitely have the captcha issue. I ended up installing gui on my rpi with chromium to try the login via browser trick: didn't work. What did work is installing a chrome add on to dump cookies, and save the login cookies to /tmp/.alexa.cookie (or something like that). There is a copy of the ale...

Re: Alexa text to speech

@freijn I had the same when my echos were in my Amazon.com account. I moved them to Amazon.de and it worked. Don't know why this happened though. I bought them originally from Amazon.de. Does that not change any other setting like skills or subscriptions? Did your echo started to talk German then ?...

Re: Alexa text to speech

Another cool idea using the TTS feature. You could set the script in the notifications tab on the settings screen in Domoticz. Go to "custom HTTP/action" section. Set the URL:action to script:///home/pi/domoticz/scripts/alexa_remote_control.sh -e speak:'#MESSAGE' Now at your switch/action define no...

Re: Alexa text to speech

I 'fixed' the issue by moving my echos from my US account to my DE account. The DE account doesn't give the CAPTCHA, so it's working now! With: script:///home/pi/domoticz/scripts/alexa_remote.sh -d ALL -e speak:'Put your text to announce here' my echo dots will speak the text. Very handy to have Do...

An easy and obvious integration will be to use IFTTT to arm/disarm Blink with Domoticz.
Got this working, since there is a 'Blink' integration in IFTTT.

Plugin system not working with upgrade database

Hello all, I recently upgraded to the latest stable. Since the upgrade the plugin system no longer works for me. Something in the upgrade database is preventing it to start up. With the default database, the plugin systems works: With default database: 2018-07-11 18:58:11.240 Status: Domoticz V4.970...

Re: Xiaomi BLE temperature & humidity sensor

Hi, Got your script to work. The range of BT is surprisingly far, so I'm able to use these sensors anywhere. Sensors now are pretty cheap (< 9€ at Joybuy). Where does the battery information go within Domoticz? Also my experience getting it to work: - Took me a while to discover I needed Python 2. W...

Re: Domoticz version 4.9700 released (Stable)

Hi All, I seem to have a problem with my plugins and Hardware tab. Symptoms: - In the Hardware tab I don't see the 'Enabled' checkbox, so I cannot enable/disable Hardware - I cannot delete the hardware for my Xiaomi Vacuum plugin and Broadlink Smart outlet plugin. If I try, Domoticz hangs. (Changing...

Uses for your RPi besides Domoticz?

Hi all,

With an always-on RPi for Domoticz I’d like to know what other stuff people are running besides Domoticz.

For example I run PiHole for ad blocking and a wake on lan forwarder to make wake on lan work for my local network from the internet.
