Uses for your RPi besides Domoticz?

With an always-on RPi for Domoticz I’d like to know what other stuff people are running besides Domoticz.

For example I run PiHole for ad blocking and a wake on lan forwarder to make wake on lan work for my local network from the internet.

Re: for Alexa HA-bridge or controlicz

I use HA-Bridge, mainly because of not wanting to expose anything to the internet. HA-Bridge, although limited because it emulates a lighting control system, is easy to setup and configure. With the current version, Domoticz support is built-in. I use it to wake up my PC, Start/Stop my Roborock, and...

Re: Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Discount, review and tutorial.

I have the Alexa-Domoticz voice control running via HA-Bridge to start cleaning, and have it return to base. It's a simple matter of adding the device to HA-Bridge and using the following command for on: http://192.168.0.100:8080/json.htm?type=command¶m=switchlight&idx=1234&switchcmd=Set%20Level...

Re: Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Discount, review and tutorial.

I'm not giving up yet. I just cost me too much time for now. I still have some idea's. Having said that: Domoticz integration is a nice to have, but this shouldn't stop you from buying it. The MI app is the main interface to the roborock, and it is excellent at it's work. It's a beauty to see the r...

Re: Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Discount, review and tutorial.

I think it does work, but I cannot confirm Because I have the cheaper first generation. Thanks, I’ll try it as soon as I have received my v2. It’s on its way. Got it, and it should be possible to get the token, but no luck until now. Tried the Android v5.0.0. backup method: Nothing in the db Tried ...

Re: Python Plugin : Broadlink RM2 V4

Another question, why use 2 status blocks for power and usage?
I'd prefer it to be one, like:

Spyhole/Peephole camera?

Preferably battery operated, camera only, motion detection, and some way to be able to send notifications out. There are a lot of options available on ali express, but it would be nice if anyone has any t...

Alternatively you can use OpenDNS, and have it block certain categories, like adult sites.

you wont get any feedback from that switch. I suggest you use few $ more to buy wifi sonoff :)
True, but it's really cheap and looks nice.
If you have a RFLink/RFXCom, it's just like any other remote controlled lamp.

I just ordered one including remote for < 10$ at Geekbuying. I'll check if I can get it to work with RFLink.
Works out of the box with RFLink, the remote is detected as EV1527.
