Re: Help designing new setup.

Keep in mind that a Pi only has a 100Mbit network connection.
Maybe you're better of with another mini board that has a 1Gbit connection.

Re: Help designing new setup.

What sach sayd. Leave the Pi running your domoticz as is.
Buy a Pi3 and install openelec/libreelec on it, that's a full mediaplayer, maybe the best there is.
It also has built in support to share USB connected devices over SMB to other devices.

Do you have polling enabled? If yes, try disable it.
I only see higher retries on 2 nodes where I have polling enabled. All other nodes have retries < 5.

Re: Confirmation on (virtual) switch

I ran into the same problem on my floorplan :P For the switches 'away' and 'sleep' I created a second layer that needs confirmation. Before that, if I accidentally pushed the away button everything switched of, now I can cancel it. You could ofcourse consider building your own interface on top of Do...

Are you sure you have php and php-cli installed?

There are different ways to run a php script.

a) script starts with just <?php: host it on a webserver and use curl.
b) start the script by /usr/bin/php /path/to/script.php
c) start the script with #!/usr/bin/php before the <?php

No, devices are created with first value. Keep in mind that accept new hardware must be enabled.

Re: Script to restart Domoticz if it crashes

Line by line:
1: Is your logfile in /tmp? Otherwise change path or remove line so it's not copied.
2: Domoticz was already stopped
3: No process found to kill on port 8084
4+ Normal behavior if you restart Domoticz on Syno because those modules are already loaded.

Re: Present your smart home!

Define expensive :P It think you need to scale this one, to where you live. If you fully automated the South Tower in Brussel, it's pretty cheap. If you used it for your caravan, it's pretty expensive  I think I live in a normal Flemish house, 3 floors, 3 bedrooms etc. Everything is in Domotic...

I would suggest to create a page with all your tv channels. No way you can get this in a nice way into domoticz.

Have a look at http://php.net/manual/en/function.date-sunrise.php You can directly receive sunrise in timestamp: function srss() { $now = time(); $sunriset = date_sunrise($now, SUNFUNCS_RET_TIMESTAMP, 39, -104, 90, -7); $sunset = date_sunset($now, SUNFUNCS_RET_TIMESTAMP, 39, -104, 90, -7); if ($now ...
