Re: nice way to work with home presence detection

That's quite easy in pass2php. I also do that: If all the lastupdate timestamps of the pirs are more than 4 hours ago the house goes into sleep mode. If they're all more than 12 hours ago the house goes into away mode. In pass2php it's easy to see all the current statusses and their timestamp. Just ...

Re: Monitor Belgian watermeter and gasmeter with Pi GPIO

Thanks for the info.
Could you just tell me how to connect the TCRT5000?
And maybe choose one from the link in my previous post?

Re: Event for Christmas

I don't use blockly :P
But it should be easy to have a script triggered only by 1 switch, in worst case with the on-action.

Re: Monitor Belgian watermeter and gasmeter with Pi GPIO

Thank you :) I ordered a inductive sensor. About the TCRT5000: can that be connected directly to GPIO or do I need something else? And why not use a TCRT5000 also for the water meter? It's also reflective, the weel that turns around. https://www.benl.ebay.be/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_...

Re: Event for Christmas

Why didn't you choose a timer for this?
Now you have a script that will check on every device update, or every minute that it is Christmas or not.

Re: How do you control your A/V?

I can only explain my setup and tell you that it works flawlessly. My Panansonic plasma tv is connected to a relay wich is switched on/off when nescessary. All devices (digicorder, kodi, chromecast) are connected with HDMI to a Denon AVR2000 receiver. That one is the only one that's connected to my ...

Re: JSON URL to update on/off action field of a switch

Can't you set a static ip on espeasy?

If not, use the developer view of your browser to find what's being sent while updating a device.

Re: Python buienradar (is it going to rain) script

With PHP you need a lot less code ;)
This script is complete to grab the buienradar api and store the prediction in a variable $weer['buien'] wich can later be used to push it to domoticz, or just used in php scripts.

Do you have a link?
Because http://www.gearbest.com/ only gives me a 1px image and https://www.gearbest.com/ gives me a SSL error.

Re: PI or NAS

If the Syno runs 24/7 anyway and it isn't one of those cheap models run it there. Otherwise a Pi is a good solution if you keep good backups in case of SD failure. I used both but switched to a Intel Nuc, running Debian in a container on Proxmox. Hasn't ran faster than this before AND it's very easy...

Re: thermostat thoughts

I don’t have a room thermostat anymore. I use Fibaro smoke detectors as thermometer with in combination with virtual setpoints. Result: perfect temperature control in each room :D
