Re: LUA Pass2php

Yes, that's by design to avoid overheating.
Could be that you need to change the timings to suit your heating system/home.

Re: Differences using LUA script in webinterface vs flat file

I only use one lua script to pass the changed device to php, all the rest is done there.
You can always trigger the device by calling the json updatedevice command in a browser ;)

Re: Differences using LUA script in webinterface vs flat file

I believe file based scripts are executed before the database scripts (at least that was my finding several months ago). So file based scripts are slightly faster, definnitely if there's only one. The more scripts the slower they get. As for backup, I prefer files also because I backup my whole domo...

Re: valves for heating lines

You'd better look at the manifold of your heating. Aren't there screws on top of it?
Mine has caps, if I remove the cap there's a hex key to close the valve.
Next time I need to let the water out I'll try to remove one so I can search the right size with the small nipple instead of the hex key.

Ignore board mod

Hi Mods, Is there any change to add a 'ignore board' mod to the forum? Such a mod provides the possibility to remove topics from those boards being hidden from board index, unread topics etc. With such a mod members could concentrate on the boards of their interest without lots of un-interested topi...

Re: If device is on for 5 minutes

Probably not in blockly, but in pass2php very simple:

Code: Select all

if($sdevice=='On'&&$tdevice<time-300){
  ...
}

Re: Delay in shutting off devices in a group

First: it's better to check if the device is on before sending on off signal. That way you prevent sending unnescessary commands.
Second: Not sure about lua, but in php you can easily sleep (seconds) or even usleep (microseconds).

Or can you see somewhere the status of this?

Not that I know.
And see? Not really, you feel it because it's getting cold. Then you check the valve and the settings is at 28° while it's closed.

What's the point of that? My Syno has 100% uptime. Only down for a restart if I find the update important enough to install.

Spare yourself the trouble and buy a RPi3. A RPi3 has 5 times the CPU power and double the memory.

Re: Question about Lua script device vs time Topic is solved

Correct. Time is every minute. Device is whenever any used device is updated, also temps, weather, utility,... I don't understand your second paragraph... If you want something done when one of devices changes you use a device script. If you want something done on a regular base you use the time scr...

Re: valves for heating lines

I first tought this would be something to handle during summer when the heating is not needed. But, for some reason it's freezing -7°C here (not usual where I live), and the Danfoss LC13 valves are acting strange on that. When the heater is stopped because temperature is reached the temperature arou...

Re: Ability to ignore 0 values

If the 0 value comes from a script you should check it there. For sure if you retrieve data from a url. If you really want to remove them from the database you could set up a script and execute it by cron. I run this script every night to remove all data older than 1 hour ( I don't care about that )...

Re: valves for heating lines

Gonna reply and bookmark this topic, interesting :) Also searching for a more decent solution instead of the Danfoss valves. Problem with them is the lack of battery status resulting in malfunctioning without notice. My manifold is from Begetube, but the valves in it need a hex key to open/close. If...
