Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

@hestia There’s not much I can tell without any debug log. Only thing I can guess is a damaged Domoticz and/or python installation. Do you have any other python plugins running successfully in Domoticz? I've AwoxSMP in a plugins folder but I don't use it and it didn't make Domoticz crashes when lau...

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

So it finally use the chipset and not ARP anymore if i get it right  Thats’s great! It should be much more reliable and quicker to respond. Since I don’t own any unifi ap’s I can offer no help on the ssh key configuration. Maybe someone else on the (unifi) forum? Will try tomorrow and when...

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

@mikeoo, I noticed exactly the same reliability issue you described when using the ARP method on my Asus router (as mentioned in the instructions). But that should not be any different for other scripts... unless the other script uses another method than running the ARP command on the router. Have ...

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

I access the unifi by IP and ssh using the plugin, I guess your unifi team must allow access by ssh, my unifi is "unifi ap pro" I have one UniFi AP-AC-LR and two UniFi AP-AC-Lite but as fas as i know iu can only be managed with Unify Controller or with the Android App but nut directly. I can SSH to...

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

My installation has two unifi devices, with a single ssid but two IP addresses. the plugin is working on raspberry. I'm only using this plugin, I do not perform other ARP queries. I have to say that sometimes I experience repeated reconnections on an iphone for no apparent reason, I am still invest...

I can't switch the iDetect - Override to On
Which override mode did you select in the plugin settings? There is a 'do not allow override' option. That would be my fist guess ;)
Fixed indeed when you choose the right options

Love it

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

@mideoo Thanks! I suspect the timeouts (that are hardcoded into the plugin) are a bit short for your setup. The router might occasionally take too long to create the ssh session. Especially if it has a slow cpu or is running other tasks. A busy Domoticz host or sub optimal netwok would also slow th...

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

@mikeoo That's because 0.7.0 didn't support custom port numbers. The 0.7.1 iteration i just uploaded to GitHub does ;) You can now specify router:portnumber. Thanks for the quick update, now it is working :D Needs ARP because WL is missing on the router. Only problem i see in the log is the when my...

Re: Python plugin: Presence detection from wireless router

Trying to get your plugin to work with an Unify EdgeRouter X with SSH enable and 2 Unifi AP Lite and 1 Unify Pro But no success for the moment. I can SSH to the router, but for SSH i am using a different port number (9325), so don't know how the configure this in the plugin and if this is a problem....

Re: Visu switches off, light remains on

Do you use a Action Off delay maybe on the switch in Domoticz or a timer. Maybe you add the wrong dummy switch for it to Domoticz that could explain the behaviour. Maybe a problem with the ESPeasy version you use. Check there is there is something that could explain the problem of check if there is ...
