Re: Battery Operated device not included correctly

Hi all, I have recently had some water escape, and as a result, grabbed a couple z-wave water leak sensors from amazon. They are the Dome brand. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01LXR0B8Q/ is the exact model I have. When I include them to my aeon z-stick gen 5 the stick and the device report prope...

Re: Heiman Smart Smoke Sensor HS1SA-Z+

I have bought the cheap Heiman Smart Smoke Sensor HS1SA-Z+. In the OZW config I see the Node: smoke dtector.JPG But Domoticz does not create a device with IDX number. What's going wrong? Does domoticz not support this Smoke Sensor? Have you enabled the create new device at Settings? Also, push the ...

What a load of crap here! First, as developer, we dedicate A LOT of spare time into this project, as said above, it is a open source project, so you have two options: - help with development - be happy with it, or not Now regarding zwave (as a heavy user myself), have you has a look at the commit h...

Re: zigate

Depends on your zigbee hardware, but in short you have to enable "accept new hardware" in domoticz. Then you have to follow your zigbee device's inclusion (join) process. That's all, if everything went well, then you'll find your device in the device section.

Actually at least 4 different topics right before your post, and also on github :D OOPs, didn't read any further they only mentioned problems adding hardware. Mine is just that Domoticz keeps crashing. Will look further for given solution. Frank The only solution is to wait for a fixed and updated ...

Re: Pi 3B+ / stretch discussion thread

I'm aware of the following issues: 1. The default python is 3.5. This totally breaks Domoticz with almost all plugins (domoticz wont even boot). In short, no plugins available. This is unfortunately a well known issue with Rasbian Stretch. You should search the forum for this, but there are basical...

Re: Neo Coolcam cheap wifi plug

@blauwebuis, what do you mean by to hackable? Why is a Wifi plug more hackable than for example the z-wave (or 433 mhz, which is far more hackable)? Next to that, I saw the Coolcam Motion sensor wifi version also, don't know if that one is implemented in Domoticz? Not implemented (yet), but you're ...

Only minor issue that from time to time it drops the connection for a secon...

I use only WiFi as home automation network (and don't want to use anything else as network except for my wired alarm appliance)
I see.

Si7021 then? Works great with ESP8266

Hello,

As an alternative to DHT22 sensor which is not supposed to be used outdoors, which sensors would you recommend? (I will use this sensor with ESP8266)
Why don't you just use a cheap 433mhz one? (assuming you have a decoder :) ).

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products

Thanks for those comments. Yes, I was thinking Z-Wave. You can use Z-Uno or the upcoming Z-Uno-Mini to avoid those Z-Wave licencing costs. And the ZM5101 chip costs £8.88 one off from Digikey (but much lower prices in large volume of course). Yes, rrozema, those are all the benefits that I hope to ...

Re: Xiaomi Aqara Temperature Humidity Sensor

I did not contact gizmocuz. Domoticz is no longer interesting to me, at least for now, while Xiaomi Android app works well enough. Domoticz is very draft, buggy and unstable. The code is very confusing. Domoticz cameras do not support RTSP. Cameras do not work (do not refresh) in Domoticz Android a...

Re: Z-Wave Radiator-valve recommendation ?

Small question about these, do they maintain its valve position, or do they just fully open when heating needed, and when matched, fully close ? Or, can they maintain temperature by keeping valve open 50% or such ? -T In my case it's the latter. When I set the temp to 28 celsius (ie 100%) - then it...
