Re: Blockly event does not get fired.

As far as I know, the changing state of a variable does not trigger an event. Try making it an On/Off dummy switch and have that sending a message when it is turned on.

Re: MQTT Tagging Crashes

You’re welcome. Start trying it with 1 switch and if it satisfies your needs you can continu to create dummy switches for every switch you can control with a different (physical) switch besides domoticz. It can be a lot of work, but only you know if it’s worth it.

Re: MQTT Tagging Crashes

Okay, I think I’m getting the picture. The wall switch triggers nodered and nodered sends a command to domoticz, which sends a command to nodered that triggers nodered to the light gateway. You only want to update the status of the switch within domoticz whenever the wall switch is used. That is whe...

Re: MQTT Tagging Crashes

Hi, I use MQTT and node-red, but I don’t understand the problem. Normally all commands from domoticz/out will not automatically be sent to domoticz/in. So why is there a relay? Maybe I’m just focussing ont the wrong things, sorry for that, but perhaps you can give us a specific complete example of w...

Re: Installing Domoticz the "easy" way doesn't work?

You can be on the same LAN and still have a local firewall (on the machine you try to reach the pi from) blocking the ports that you may use with your domoticz. But i cannot inspect your network. The message from the browser “This site can’t be reached’ usually means that it can’t make a network con...

Re: HTTPS connection for controlicz

Hi, 1) from the wiki: The Local Networks setting lets you define the source networks for which Domoticz will not request a login. Wildcards (*) and multiple networks separated by semicolons (;) may be entered. 2) the cache can hold a local copy of a website, so it shows up faster. It wants to refres...

Re: Installing Domoticz the "easy" way doesn't work?

Check if domoticz is running and if a firewall is not blocking the ports on the machine you can connect with the pi using ssh.

Re: master switch not following slave switch

Hi, this sub/slave scenario is not what you need. With Blockly or LUA you can get it working. Create a blockly like “If device A is On then set device B is On”. Create a second one but then when turning it off. You can create this in one blockly with the “elseif”, but it can be tricky when troublesh...

Re: Blockly: Alarm function not working

I think the Alarm blockly has the wrong if/do block. It looks like you used the if/then/else if block, but in this case you need the other one without the else/if possibility.

Re: Z-Wave Network Delay (Traffic/Flooding)

Have you also checked the cpu usage by Domoticz in Windows’ rask manager? In my case every now and then it is using 99% and will not calm down. Switches will take significantly more time to response. Stopping and starting Domoticz then does the trick and everything works without delay again.

Re: Slave/secondary device not fully working

Remote controls have a unique code that they are sending. So you should be able to add the second remote by using the "Learn Light/Switch" in Domoticz. You cannot give it the same name as the original and that is also not necessary. You only need to use this "slave" function in Domoticz when you hav...

Re: Slave/secondary device not fully working

When you have multiple transmitters that ar controlling one receiver, you add 1 transmitter to Domoticz to be the controlling one, you add the others to be the slaves of the 1st one.

Re: Slave/secondary device not fully working

As far as I know, the RFXcom is not capable of receiving the signal of the remote. That is why you cannot add it to Domoticz and Domoticz cannot update the status of your blinds.

Re: Help with doorbell script

Hi, the "Doorbell = On AFTER 20" is just a delay. If the statement is true (= door is open) it will ring the doorbell after 20 seconds. There is no check wether the door is closed before the 20 second delay. So it will always ring after 20 seconds. I think you can solve this problem with a dummy swi...

Re: Notification if power consumption is too high

Hi, create a dummy switch that turns on when using more than x kWh and turns of when using less. Check every minute (script_time) if the switch is on and when it last updated its status. When it's more than 10 minutes, then send a notification. Same goes for the door contact. Get the difference betw...

Re: Lost switches on Dashboard and Switches tab

For switches to show up at the Dashboard, you need to make it a "Favorite" by selecting the star icon on the bottom left of the switch. When it turns yellow, you will see it at the Dashboard when room "All" (="Allemaal") is selected. When you want a switch to turn up in a specific "Room", you need t...
