Troubleshooting startup

I have a strange issue that I've been noticing for the past few weeks and would like some tips on how to troubleshoot if anyone can assist. When I reboot my Pi, Domoticz no longer executes on startup and I need to manually start or restart the service. Domoticz.sh is still in the init.d folder and I...

Re: Domoticz app 2.0

Are there any plans to allow authentication by certificate? I'd like to be able to use the app whilst I'm out but don't fancy opening ports for all to try. Currently I use NGINX as a reverse proxy & the app doesn't see to support this.

Re: Sky HD Box Test

Looks like they changed things with their new box then :(

I assume that the box doesn't ping (neither of mine do although from memory they used to so Sky are clearly making functionality changes in their firmware) ?

Will sky-remote-cli change channels etc or is it totally dead too?

Re: Sky HD Box Test

What code do you get if you run this? Replace SKYBOXADDRESS with the IP of your Sky box, you don't need to replace the IPOFYOURCHOICE part for testing. curl -i -s -o /dev/null -w "%{http_code}" 'http://SKYBOXADDRESS:49159/photo-viewing/start?uri=http://IPOFYOURCHOICE/null.jpg' If it's 200 then it me...

Re: Sky HD Box Test

What do you mean by Mysky HD on demand?

If it is a normal Sky HD box then I posted a script previously in this thread that can work out whether the box is in standby or not. Does it not work?

If it is Sky Q then I have no idea whether it will work or not as I don't have that service to test.

Re: Steinel LED floodlight + lux + motion : help editing paramenters

Is that the settings on your screen under "Sensibility" 0-100%? That's my guess. Where mine is located i dont need to worry about range. I did replace a previous security light and notice that this one is more sensitive to a door being opened (a good thing) and is also less likely to be falsely tri...

Is there someone who has succeeded to connect this device to Domoticz?
Bought one from Amazon for £99 last week, it connected to Domoticz (recent Beta) no problem & worked immediately.

I'm very happy and will be getting a 2nd one for the side of the house after Christmas!

Re: Steinel LED floodlight + lux + motion : help editing paramenters

You should maybe remove and re add it as I bought one earlier in the week and it added no problem whatsoever. Are you using a recent beta as I didn't need to add anything to the base code?

its a combination of local & remote settings to connect to domoticz
Is there any chance that you'll be able to support certificate based authentication via the usual NGINX reverse proxy at some point in the future? I love the app but can only use it when I'm physically sat in my house.

Re: Transfer primary from Aeon Labs S2 to Aeon Labs Gen5 - How ?

Well, it appears that I spoke too soon :( I was unable to include / exclude any devices from my network and all of the sensors did not report as normal (even those that have permanent usb power). I ended up resetting everything and starting again from scratch with the s5 stick as the controller so t...

Re: Transfer primary from Aeon Labs S2 to Aeon Labs Gen5 - How ?

Okay, so it's done but I'm confused. Firstly, my PI did recognise the S5 stick, I just didn't realise that /dev/ttyACM0 is actually USB as well as ttyUSB0. The S2 stick showed as the latter, the S5 as the former. All I had to do was swap the s2 stick to Windows, change the serial port for the OZW ha...

Re: Transfer primary from Aeon Labs S2 to Aeon Labs Gen5 - How ?

You could try my method described here on "Tue Aug 01, 2017 1:28 pm" I plan on using the OZW control panel to transfer the primary to a zstick v5 that I have added to my network using zentools (which I used to add it into receive mode) so in essence I think that it's doing the same thing. My worry ...

I'm about to try this using Zensys. Has anyone managed to do it using the method @ahattink described without losing their devices?

Re: Domoticz app 2.0

I'm not sure if it has been asked before but is there any way that certificate based authentication could be included in a future release? I love the app but can't use it when I am away from home as I don't feel comfortable opening up my Domoticz installation to the internet without my cert based re...

Re: Garage Door Opener Advice

Does your opener have a wired connected switch option? There are low voltage connectors but the buttons on the front of the case (Up / Down / Halt) are attached to them. I haven't taken the case apart yet but will take a look inside when I get a chance if this is going to be the only way to proceed...

Garage Door Opener Advice

I've just got myself a new garage door and there is the ability to add a wifi facility so that it can be opened using an app rather than the standard remote control see here . The wifi unit does not need to be connected to the door itself after it has been paired which indicates that it's emulating ...

Re: Auto off if triggered on

Can you advise How you switch off. I'm using exactly the same code, just with switchcmd=Off at the end The bottom "Timer" option is also set to wait at least 0.1 minutes between requests On the Motion/Trigger tab I have set a 20 sec "end trigger unless re-triggered" time as it's an indoor camera th...

Re: Auto off if triggered on

Hi, would you be prepared to share how you did this I have Blue Iris installed on a server and want to switch on my Philips Hue lights on my drive when the camera detects movement, from the post here it looks like its only active after sunset? I have a similar setup that you can replicate I've set ...

Both timer issues (sunrise/sunset and on the hour) are still only intermittently working with the 1 min workaround and the latest patch.
