Re: What door sensor do you recommend? Zwave/ RFXtrx

I've just got a Coolcam NAS-DS01Z from GearBest - worked straight-out-of-the-box.

Re: z-wave devices not working

Are your zwave devices still linked to the Homey controller?
They need to be excluded individually from it before your new Razberry controller can see them.

Re: Boiler, HRT4 ASR-ZW, aka SSR303-Controller

Glad it's working.
Yes. I had to enable polling, but forgot to mention it - sorry!
I think you can use 'Mode Heat' to turn it on, but it does seem to update the switch.
Nor does it show 'Heat' when it's on.
Have a look at the device in the Zwave control panel.

Re: Boiler, HRT4 ASR-ZW, aka SSR303-Controller

I have 4 of these.
The device of type 'Light/Switch' definitely changes when I push the button on the controller.
I have Lua scripts that check this status.

Re: ELV Max! Heating control system

Hi Peggy, Yes, it is confusing, isn't it? My helper is based on Egregius' Pass2php. The main difference is that my 'script' runs continuously as a service. Domoticz Lua sends all device data to my helper, including name-to-idx table. This is held in the Python dictionary 'indexes' Lua - function Uti...

Re: ELV Max! Heating control system

Hi Peggy, Thanks for the kind words (blush)! The old device delete scheduler in RunDeleted() runs every 30 mins. The call sch.enter(15, 1, RunDeleted) runs just once, 15 seconds after it is called, so the background processes don't all start at once, but at 5 sec intervals. My Sonoffs all run ESPeas...

Re: These Aliexpress work

Hi Derik,

Thanks for the warning!
These are 433MHz devices - what is the possible problem?
My forum search did not find anything.

Re: ELV Max! Heating control system

Hi Peggy,

Attached file has the bits you want (I think!)
The commented-out line used to update the valve's 'mode' in Domoticz.
I took it out because I only use 'manual' mode.

Re: ELV Max! Heating control system

Hi Peggy and Mvzut, Thanks for the interest! This is just one module from my Python Domoticz helper. I wrote the helper to handle all of the network and internet action previously done in Lua. Now I have 'proper' error handling and retries, no more Lua 10 second time-outs (times-out?). Read() is cal...

These Aliexpress work

I got some new sensors from Aliexpress. They worked 'straight out of the packet', are complete with batteries, send On and Off, and came in 9 days. Re: ELV Max! Heating control system

I'm using the Python library 'maxcube' #!/usr/local/bin/python3 import socket import time from maxcube.cube import MaxCube from maxcube.connection import MaxCubeConnection class Cube: def __init__(self, utils=None): try: self.mconfig = utils.config["MaxCube"] self.CubeName = self.mconfig.get('name',...

Re: Digoo DG-R8S 433MHz Hygrometer Thermometer

I've got a Digoo TH8868 and a TH8888.
Very nice displays, but the remote sensors are not seen by RFlink nor RFX.

Re: React on RSS feed

Python has an RSS feedreader library.
It seems to be possible in LUA as well, which makes integration easier.
How frequently would you want to check the feed?

Re: Cheap chinese z-wave products

What you want is LiFePO4 rechargeables.
They have the same voltage as the non-rechargeable ones.
In my Fibaro motion sensors they last over 3 months.
I bought 4 complete with the matching charger.
Ordinary Li-on chargers won't work.

Re: EventSystem - Python: Failed dynamic library load, install the latest libpython3.x library that is available

I don't know if this will help you, but I had to add an entry to the bottom of my .bashrc file, just before the PYTHONPATH entry -

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Re: Bluetooth presence detection using Happy Bubbles

Thanks for the link!
I've already got a simple BLE scanner working on my ESP32.
Next add a JSON send to Domoticz.
IMO much easier than that MQTT malarkey.
