MQTT between Domoticz and Home Assistant

I'm looking to get Domoticz and Home Assistant playing nicely together. I figure I could use MQTT for this as a common protocol, and I now have Domoticz working on with MQTT and using this to control my Sonoffs. However, Domoticz and HAss use different formats for MQTT messages. HAss uses formats li...

Re: Domoticz starting as root, so no scripts run!

Anyone running Domoticz on a Pi, preferably as the Pi user, that could share how their service definition with me?

Re: Domoticz starting as root, so no scripts run!

No - they were still there from before the upgrade.

And, anyway, if I run domoticz interactively under the Pi user then everything works ok...

Re: Domoticz starting as root, so no scripts run!

Tried that and it makes no difference. If I login as "pi" interactively and run /home/pi/domoticz/domoticz from the command prompt it starts fine and all the LUA scripts execute. If I run it using the service, where it starts as root, it doesn't. I've seen another post on here mention that when runn...

Domoticz starting as root, so no scripts run!

I'm running Domoticz (v4) on a Raspberry Pi - "Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)" Scripts are not firing, and I've managed to debug this down to the fact that the domoticz.sh service is starting as root - despite the fact that domoticz.sh says to do otherwise: PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/lo...

Re: Konnected.io

So, I've been doing further research into this. Konnected has a python library that can be used to query the alarm system and to trigger the siren. It is possible to set the Konnected to trigger an HTTP PUT with a JSON payload to a specific URL. It seems that Domoticz ignores the payload but does re...

Konnected.io

I've just seen this and it looks great - turns your existing/traditional hard-wired alarm system into something WiFi connected that can be integrated into a home automation setup. It works with Smartthings and Home Assistant. Has anyone tried hooking this up to Domoticz? Sent from my SM-T820 using T...

Re: Magic Home RGB WiFi controller integration

Has there been any movement on this? I've just got an LED strip, which works great but it would be good to be able to adjust the brightness too.

ControlPi OS for Raspberry/Domoticz?

In a Facebook conversation I stumbled across this: https://learn.controlhaus.de/avit/controlpi-initial-release/ It's a trimmed-down version of Raspbian, aimed at automation and control. One of the key features they state is a read-only file-system which I believe would make this much more reliable (...

Re: Broadlink SPS3 smart socket support?

I managed to get these working. I found a script calls sp2.py which does the job perfectly:

Re: Broadlink SPS3 smart socket support?

Received it, and it works! I can switch it on/off using python, and read the power value. I'm going to use it for my dryer with the 'washing cycle' script. Hi, I have a similar device (Broadlink SC1). I can see it when I do a discover/locate, but how to you "learn" to turn these devices on and off?...

Suppress LUA messages in log file?

I get lots of LUA messages in the log file which are unnecessary. The LUA scripts involved aren't outputting anything, so is there a way of suppressing these entries? e.g. 2017-11-29 17:34:00.467 EventSystem: Script event triggered: /home/pi/domoticz/scripts/lua/script_time_tado.lua 2017-11-29 17:35...

Fibaro FGS221 only showing one switch

Hi I am running Domoticz V3.8373 on an RPi3 with an Aeon Lab Z-Stick S2. Most of my devices run fine, but I am having trouble with my FGS221, which is installed within a light switch housing (other devices in the same room work fine). The FGS221 is correctly identified in Domoticz and OZW, but only ...

Re: Homepage dysfunction reverse proxy of external

I've managed to get this working for my setup. I have domoticz running on a different IP port, forwarded by my router to my Domoticz RPi, but I wanted to use a common standard port (443) which is also used by other local web servers. I set up a new site in my apache web server and have used a very s...

Re: Timer Plan Edit

Just an idea - as an alternative, would it not be better to be able to select which Timer Plans each timer is active on from the timer screen itself. You can choose days of the week, etc. so why not a checkbox to select which Timer Plans its applicable to? (I love the idea, but the thought of trying...

Re: Timer Plan Edit

copy settings would indeed be great. Maybe also display the active time planner while editing the timers? I agree - I think copy settings is essential (perhaps a check box to enable copy settings when you create a new plan, or enable you to copy an existing plan to a new one). Also, switching plans...

Re: Using BROADLINK RM2 on DOMOTICZ

I've got the scripts all up and running on my Domoticz Pi now and controlling the switches just perfectly. Took a little trial and error to get it working properly and I had to update the firmware on the broadlink, but I now have 5 RF switches all linked to virtual domoticz switches :)

Re: Using BROADLINK RM2 on DOMOTICZ

I still don't have Broadlink RM2/RM3 (RM3 also works from python?) but I had some script that I used before and slightly modified it for this. Basically using socks you create server that listens on some port and then with client send command on that port. So in this case you start server.py that i...
