Re: Can the stable and beta version of domoticz be run on the same machine?

In theory, yes. You're likely to find that connecting both instances to the same hardware will be troublesome or (close to) impossible though.

Re: Evohome: using a dummy switch to control thermostat

Actually, I don't. I wrote this as a replacement for a tool that talked directly to Evohome and was called by a desktop shortcut. I started thinking how I could make that tool send multiple commands in a single Evohome session rather than one and then I realized I could already do that by sending th...

Re: Evohome: using a dummy switch to control thermostat

As a rule, Linux only searches /bin, /sbin, /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/sbin for executables. For every other location you need to specify the path, either relative or absolute, and this includes the current folder.

Example:
  • ./dzEvo
  • /home/pi/dzEvo

Re: Evohome: using a dummy switch to control thermostat

It's quite verbose (supposed to be). For every partial command you give it, it will give you more detailed information. Hidden feature: you can abbreviate every parameter to where it becomes unique. e.g. you can type `dzEvo q dev` to get a list of Evohome devices registered in Domoticz. Here's one t...

Re: Evohome: using a dummy switch to control thermostat

You're just changing the value in Domoticz. The correct uri for changing the setpoint is: /json.htm?type=setused&idx=${IDX}&name=${NAME}&description=${DESCRIPTION}&setpoint=${SETPOINT}&mode=${MODE}&used=true where $MODE should be either "PermanentOverride" or "TemporaryOverride" and of course if you...

Sorry, there's just too little information.

Did you try connect with the stand-alone client?

Re: [SOLVED] Recent en working solution for Harmony Hub Devices

Hmmm.... Does it not do the VolumeUp?

I think if you do the `issue_device_command_raw` version of the command it will show you a status OK in json. The `null` you are seeing is from trying to output a variable that is in fact never filled.

Re: Settings for Honeywell EvoHome Web API

That doesn't mean it can connect to the internet as well. Like I said before, the Domoticz internal HTTP client is not very verbose where it comes to errors. It just returns success or fail. The stand-alone client does contain a more verbose HTTP client and thus might show more information on why it...

Re: Settings for Honeywell EvoHome Web API

You are receiving (some) updates?

Than the problem is not code related but must be with networking.

Re: Settings for Honeywell EvoHome Web API

Well the problem is, as the message states the error is returned by Domoticz's HTTP client and that happens to not be very specific about the cause of the error. Can you try the stand-alone client from https://github.com/gordonb3/domoticz-evohomeclient ? We might be able to pinpoint the problem then.

Re: Settings for Honeywell EvoHome Web API

Okay: HTTP client error at login! This means that there was an error with either the HTTPclient class or the curl library that it depends on. This error is local to your machine and may have various causes, like failing DNS, failing SSL handshake (certificates not up to date?) and many many other th...

Re: Settings for Honeywell EvoHome Web API

The API actually uses a different server and this is hard-coded in the source files. Also, according to the error message you report your login is in fact successful. I'm not experiencing any issues myself, however some users have reported that Honeywell had (re)set their language preferences to Hun...

Re: Evohome API log

What type of information are you looking for? The log should state that it fetched information from the portal. Since the information is for all zones and controller mode at once these are not logged individually.

Re: question for the electricians over here (Belgium)

Has been a while and somewhat more up north and thus standards may differ in details, but I can't remember ever seeing any special indications for interlinked switches or for that matter what these switches are supposed to operate. Just draw what can be seen and preferably matches the wiring behind ...

Re: is this possible(hotelswitch)

I'm actually somewhat amazed by the wiring on that Lumos, because you cannot feed an electric device with just one wire. Which must mean that it uses the connected lamp as the neutral terminal and you will therefore likely always see some glowing in that lamp. The Sonoff looks more normal, but it do...

Re: EVO Home not updating

Hmmm.. I actually never used floorplans. Just added a bogus one based on the standard test image that was already in there and it really doesn't seem very useful because it doesn't look like you can set an override or change the system status in there. It does correctly show the current setting thou...

binary positions. 7 in binary is 0111 and this breaks down to 1 (0001 - Normal) + 2 (0010 - Status) + 4 (0100 - Error)

Re: Domoticz received fatal signal

Guys, please...

If it worked at some time before and for some reason it stopped working after you installed a new version, it really does help if you state what was the before version and the after version. Just stating that it doesn't work may also mean that you forgot to plug in the power.
