Re: Request for the use of friendly names in addition to device names

The data set of a device now contains the ID to identify a device. In order to get this suggestion working, we only need to define an additional field (e.g. "slug") and the ability to set and change its value. Of course there also needs to be some validation when setting and changing the value to en...

Hai manjh,
Thanks for this reply.
Can you tell me which OTGW you have installed?
And how you have wired it?
I'm reasonably with software but hardware...
Thanks again.

Re: Domoticz - Remote Server not working

Did you check on the devices that are available from the remote user?
You can check this with Settings => More Options => Edit Users => Set Devices for the user you selected to communicate with the other server.

In another post I read about Dashticz.
This is also a (set of) php page(s) running in the Domoticz environment.
How about to use the same technique for your php pages?

Re: Temperature & Humidity Sensor compatible with RFXCOM/Domoticz

Hai All, I just recieved my Digoo TH1980 sensor set for temperature measurments for both indoor and outdoor. After I inserted the batteries, it almost immediately showed in my Domoticz installation running on my Synology with an RFXCOM RFXtrx433E. However, as I would expect both temperature values, ...

Coupling two Domoticz instances together

Hai, Would it be possible to have two Domoticz instances send information to each other? I have Domoticz running on a RPi 3B+ and one on a Synology NAS. Both are running on the same version (latest stable). It has been working for a while in a master - slave combination where the Synology was the sl...

Re: Pairing vHome 433 wall switch

Hai, Strange you couldn't get it working. I have some experience with KaKu (KlikAanKlikUit) devices myself. Both with and without remotes. The procedure I used to add the device without the remote is by indeed adding the manual switch in Domoticz using these steps: 1. Add manual switch with correct ...

Its compatible with opentherm, so use an opentherm gateway ?
The manual describes two types iSense:
• iSense OpenTherm
• iSense RF (wireless), in combination with iBase (basisstation) RF-zender

I have the latter, so probably no OpenTherm?

Re: Remeha eTwist

Did anyone try to put an OTGW on that link? (OTGW = OpenTherm GateWay). I've used it on a Remeha Calenta/iSense combination, works great. This means the Remeha "speaks" rather pure OpenTherm, I think. Hai, I've got a Remeha Tzerra in combination with a iSenseRF / iBase. Can this be controlled via D...

Re: Pi 3B+ / stretch discussion thread

Interesting subject. My situation: + I started using Domoticz on my Synology NAS. It runs the stable version V3.8153 wonderfully, although I do have some quirks with some plugins. + As the RPi 3B+ came out on Pi-day, I bought that as well with the intention to either: A. Migrate and remove Domoticz ...

I'm also a huge fan of WordPress.

Would it be possible to have WordPress plugin for handling Domoticz stuff?
I would be willing to help as I do have some experience in building a plugin myself.

Re: Beware of Raspberry Pi SSH hijacks

This looks like a serious issue. And as I try to be carefull and accessible at the same time, I configured a Let's Encrypt certificate on my Synology to access it securely from outside. Now that I also have a RPi, I would like to extend the Lets Encrypt certificate to also make the RPi available fro...

Re: control blinds with percentage switch and by time

Interested too. I just installed Somfy blinds with RTS motors. They can be controlled by the Somfy Telis remotes of which I have two different kinds. One is a Pure which can open en close the blinds; tilting the blinds can be by stopping the movement just in the right moment. The second one is a Mod...

Re: reset kaku module

Hai. There is a difference in transmitter and receiver. As far as I understand your question, the remote is the transmitter sending commands to the receiving module. Both can be configured in Domoticz separately. The remote can be configured as a switch by using the "Learn Light/Switch" button on th...

Re: reset kaku module

Hai. I do have some KaKu remotes myself and reading from the manual, there should be a way to reset the module completely. For instance, the ACM-1000 reads the following steps to reset the memory completely: Push connect button for 8 seconds until the light blinks fast Push connect button again for ...

Private Messages: Difference Outbox and Sent Messages?

Hai, In the section where I can manage my private messages, I see three 'folders': Inbox, Outbox, Sent Messages. What is the difference between the latter two? When I compare it with my email system, the Outbox option could indicate that the messages are not sent yet. Is this correct? It might expla...
