Re: high cpu when dzvents is enabled

Ok, that's not excessive. So, you can enable debug logging in dzVents. Then, whenever dzVents gets triggered due to an event, you should see something in Domoticz log. Apart from the events you defined in your on-sections in your three scripts, do you see more events in the log? Note that debug logg...

Re: high cpu when dzvents is enabled

How many active devices do you have in your Domoticz instance?

Re: high cpu when dzvents is enabled

Do you have any script defined? If so, can you remove them all or disabled them if you created them in using the built-in editor? Also make sure you don't have dzVents running in debug mode (setting in the GUI).

Re: Run script every min, but only when a switch is on.

It doesn't matter if you add some functionality to the on-section because domoticz only has a timer trigger that triggers every minute. So that's what dzVents gotta work with. All the checking for state of devices is done on the Lua side (in dzVents). Having said that... just make an every-minute ti...

Try to remove all the ( and ) in your if-statement.

And next time post the errors you get. That helps 😀

Yes, that is what we are working on for 2.5.0. System events, hardware events etc.

No it is not in json reader. We don’t use that. It is in EventSystem.cpp. Lua is doing the json parsing.

Re: [error] Too many lines [Solved]

Well, appears that it is something in Domoticz. See also this topic.
I really have no idea why this is in the Domoticz code at all.

Re: [error] Too many lines [Solved]

Mmm. Didn't know there was a max in de JSON.lua library. dzVents uses the one that comes with Domoticz.

The only thing you can do is make a devices reducer that finds the highest index.

Re: See 'running' switchOn.after Secs/Mins/Hours

Strange that you for me can decide if its matter or not. Didn't say it matters to you and I don't care if it does to be honest. I meant schedule info for switches probably doesn't change during the script execution if you have long delays set like 36 hours. Just was curious if it's possible, appare...

Re: See 'running' switchOn.after Secs/Mins/Hours

I guess it's somewhere in the database. And it wouldn't matter much in your case but you can do complex scheduling like switchOn().afterSec(3).forSec(5).repeat... etc. Then it would matter.

Re: See 'running' switchOn.after Secs/Mins/Hours

That's correct. It is not possible. I guess the information would be inaccurate anyway as it is possible that a timer goes off during script execution.

Re: At 'active = false,' the script is still monitored for errors

Yes, I know what you mean but it can't be done. Lua loads all the scripts as a Lua module and at that moment it is parsed and evaluated as well. There is nothing I can do about that other than writing my own parsers in Lua and that makes everything horribly slow. So, there are two options: make sure...

Re: 'General purpose' timers

No, that's not possible like this. dzVents doesn't have any state between script runs. It is started by Domoticz and when it is finished there is nothing that keeps running. So your delayed function doesn't live on when the script is finished (and the scope with all your variables is gone too). No, ...
