Re: Notification No_Sound not working

Guess it will be an issue of diving into Domoticz code as this is working for me as expected. Perhaps some internal notify endpoints treat stuff differently. I will look into this soon.

Re: Only trigger when state is changed

But the script will still be executed whenever there's an On sent from the motion detector to Domoticz. On the other hand, you can also just do this every time an on state occurs: domoticz.devices('Kitchen Led').forMin(1) and skip the off part (and the checking). Each time the on triggers the timer ...

Re: Only trigger when state is changed

Well, dzVents gets the trigger from Domoticz. Every time your sensor sends an On to Domoticz this script is triggered due to the on-rule. So the only thing you can do is to check for the this in your script (or get a better motion detector that only sends state changes).

Re: dzvents script does not trigger

Please look at the timer examples in the documentation carefully. You have to use the proper syntax:

Code: Select all

on = {
    timer = { 'every minute' }
}

Re: lastUpdate nil value

Yes, as you can see data.lastUpdate is indeed nil. Somehow though the device ends up in the collection anyway. I will have to look into that. In the mean time, just check the lastUpdate attribute.

Re: lastUpdate nil value

Mm... interesting.. Perhaps you can do an attribute dump (device.dump()) for these devices and see what they are.

Reading from the code, devices that do not get lastUpdate information from Domoticz should be discarded (with a debug-level log message in the log).

I don't see what's wrong with you log dump here. Looks as expected to me. What did you expect to see here?

Re: Get sValue from device [Solved]

First of all, you don't need to test for isDevice in your case here because your event trigger is only for a device. But that's a side note. To get the value of the device (in this case a motion detector I suppose) I assume that you can just print the state: domoticz.log(device.state).

Re: Cannot activate persistent data

Well, glad it works and thanks for the compliment :-)
There is a dumpTable function in the code but it is not put on the domoticz object for no obvious reason. I could add it.

Re: Cannot activate persistent data

Take a close look at the examples please. Follow the right syntax: domoticz.data.mydata = 20

Re: Cannot activate persistent data

You should do: print(domoticz.data.mydata). Look carefully at the examples. Good luck.

Re: dzvents after update to version 4.97

The type of the variable is defined in domoticz when you created the uservariable. So if it is a number or integer type it will be the same in dzVents.

Re: Looking for a reliable smoke detector

It was never an issue of batteries. Out of the blue they went off without any obvious reason. Once a year wouldn't be a problem but twice in 2 months is not ok. I have two that also works correctly. But I also noticed they send an alarm-off every times Domoticz restart (after a raspbian update need...

Re: dzvents after update to version 4.97

Accessing a user variable in dzVents is done like this:

Code: Select all

domoticz.variables('myUserVar').value
No need to convert it so number if the variable is defined as such in the GUI.

Re: PIR + light: how to go to previous state

Thanks!!! I will try it tomorrow. Today I tried a different approach, but faced an issue with cancelQueuedCommands. How should it work? I though that when I call device.cancelQueuedCommands() Then the whole queue for device "device" will be cleaned. But unfortunately it doesn't work this way. Is it...

Have you tried a classic Lua script? Try to activate dzVents debug logging.

It should be

Code: Select all

domoticz.time.minutes
(plural). See the docs :-). Same as hours and seconds.

I have 6 Fibaro 's and am very happy with them. You just need to use rechargeable batteries and replace them regularly.

Looking for a reliable smoke detector

Howdee folks, Currently I have 4 Fibaro smoke detectors in da house but I'm not happy with them as they keep generating false alarms. So I am looking for an alternative (zwave). So, I am particularly interested in how reliable they are. No false alarms, no lost connection with the zwave network etc....
