Beta to stable

Any idea when the current Beta goes stable as a new release?

There seems to be so many features and little scripts I want to use that rely on having the 'Beta' installed.

Re: Python Plugin: Samsung TV

I gave up for now trying to get it working, just kept killing Domoticz.

When the beta goes live stable I might look to try again.

Is there a BETA discussion board?

I know I can pick beta within domoticz and upgrade etc but I’m on the latest stable and would like to read through some of the benefits/problems people are having but can’t see a board for it.

Is it closed etc?

Re: Python Plugin: Samsung TV

I've for now got rid of plugin.py as it seems to crash Domoticz.
Would like to get it working though :?

Re: Python Plugin: Samsung TV

I think that was a typo to be honest as samsungctl folder was still intact. Didn't realise websocket needed to be in the folder above not samsungctl so running this below has got it working sudo cp -r /usr/local/lib/python3.4/dist-packages/websocket /usr/lib/python3.4/websocket Saying that I sent a ...

Re: Python Plugin: Samsung TV

Ok this seems to kill Domoticz... Restored my Raspberry Pi (OSMC) back to an image. Ran through the install sudo apt-get install python3-pip Installing collected packages: samsungctl Running setup.py install for samsungctl Installing samsungctl script to /usr/local/bin Successfully installed samsung...

It’s a change but not by the original poster.
Didn’t know if had been tweaked for their scenario or bettered overall.

Re: Logout

I'm beginning to think this is because I have "Local Networks (no username/password):" in settings. I use this because I have an app that doesn't play nice with it on. I thought as I was using my external IP to get to site though it would see as coming external, I guess not.

Re: Python Plugin: Samsung TV

Ok managed to get it further... I have it working via the command line but specify a port, in my case 8001 and have to add a timeout option, even 1 works, so... samsungctl -i --host 192.168.1.42 --port 8001 --method websocket --timeout 1 Brings me up a menu from a quick test can send commands. Also ...

4. Make sure your TV is on, run the following command from the cli (Change xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the IP address of your TV): pi@domoticz:~ $ samsungctl --host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx --method websocket KEY_MUTE 5. Depending on the setting of your TV, the TV will ask you if you want to allow the external con...

How, where are you able to log out of the domoticz web page?

I setup a new user with restricted access to the webpage but can't work out where on the web page you log out...
Both in a browser and on iPhone.

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration

Thanks Rvdb,

I had my user set as admin, changed it to user then set devices to it :)
Never knew this feature existed. Forgot to add new devices into a room/floor plan but all sorted now :)

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration

Is there a way to have a device on a floorplan so it shows in the nice pretty jpg thing I did of the house on the Domoticz web page but not be discovered by Alexa because it's on the plan? I have things like the Raspberry Pi Temp I like to see on the web page but don't want it in Alexa to add to the...

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration

Hi and welcome :) So you just need Room plans (at least one), you don't need floor plans. The reason Controlicz uses domoticz Room Plans is just to allow you to filter which devices Alexa sees (I copied this from the HA bridge at someone's request). Controlicz should know lights are lights, so you ...

Re: Controlicz - Easy Domoticz to Alexa Integration

Just about to embark on setting up Controlicz so what's the best way forward? Never really played with floor plans so do I need a floorplan for each 'room'? and assuming I can use a blank jpeg for the picture? So from a quick play floor plans consist of room plans so I guess the room plan name is wh...
