Re: need a alarm system

We have a Jablotron 100. Communicates through ethernet and if that goes out it uses the mobile network to send SMS'es. Highly recommended!

Re: Fibaro FGBS001 temperature sensors disappeared

Disassembled the sensor today (it partly sits in the pool so I needed some time to get it out). It put my digital scope / analyzer on it and there was no communication to/fro the sensors. Disassembled them one by one, removing them from the bus. Nothing. Got out the microscope, the PCB looks horribl...

Fibaro FGBS001 temperature sensors disappeared

I have fibaro FGBS001 "binary sensor", equipped with 3 temperature sensors that sit in my swimming pool. They used to work fine up to about two weeks ago. All of a sudden, the sensor disappeared completely from the air. So I disassembled the sensor, reset it and it worked fine again - for about half...

How to continuously display custom temperatures?

I have three temperature sensors in my swimmingpool, at different depths. They are connected through a Fibaro universal sensor and I can see them in Domoticz. And I have been able to combine them in a single graph through the "Custom Graph" option in the web interface like this: chart (1).jpg Point ...

Re: big house project

I don't agree with some of your advice: * Ethernet is overkill for most control tasks. I would use Z-wave for most sensors (provided money is no showstopper). Z-Wave provides a mesh network with bidirectional messaging and in my experience it is very reliable. * Evohome is crap. Lots of small anoyin...

Re: Slimme meter/Smart meter cable stopped.

Is there anyone else experiencing this issue? Maybe. I see similar behaviour on my installation but thought it was a problem with jessie; P1 is the only sensor hooked up to a spare RPi running domoticz as slave to the main system located on the 2nd floor. It hangs every 3 or 4 days with domiticz go...

Re: No devices after installing P1 cable

I think your z-wave stick uses USB0. For testing purposes, what happens if you pull the z-wave stick from the system and restart?

Oh, forgot to add... the logfiles actually *do* see the on/off actions correctly.

Re: Domitech ZBulb GUI doesn't match the Lamp status

I have this same problem with Domitech Z-Wave LED bulbs. Known bug? Don't think it is actually.

I reported a closely related problem a couple of weeks ago, but no answer.

Sensor value in apps don't reflect reality

Not sure where to post, so here it goes. I have a couple of Z-Wave lightbulbs that are controlled by domoticz (currently v3.8153) on an Rpi3. More specifically: Domitech Smart LED "Retrofit kits". I have two of them, grouped together into a single group named "Lichten boven tafel". I can dim them an...

Notification popup uses 12 hour sytem

I just noticed the popup dialog in the domoticz app for android* shows times in 12-hour format. As a test, I switched notifications on for a couple of lights, and switched the lights on at 23:18. The dialog shows: Screenshot_20170902-232536.png *): From the hamburger menu: Settings > Notifications s...

Add dynamic parameters to notifications

I have a binary sensor that is being used in a doorbell detection system. When the doorbell rings, I should get a notification on my phone. I noticed however Android's notification system is quite unreliable. Notifications sometimes are delayed for up to several hours. On the phone, you'll see a not...

Ah, works like a charm, thanks!
Yeah, it sure would be nice if we could edit in the table view.

Can I remove a false reading?

I installed three temperature sensors in my swimmingpool on different heights, connected to Domoticz using a Fibaro binary sensor through Z-wave. The idea is to gather enough data to optimize the pump with and to check the effect of our solar deck. Unfortunately, one of the sensors for whatever reas...

RPi Zero W sensor

Is anyone using a RaspBerry Zero W as a sensor? These things are pretty cheap and feature WiFi. So I thought to use one to read my energy meter with and communicate its readings to domoticz over wifi. Or is there a cheaper option? My domoticz server is not near to the energy meter and I have no inte...

Re: Netatmo weather station down

Does anyone know if it would be possible to work completely 'local' with Netatmo? For example in combination with Domoticz? The netatmo devices "call home", acting as a client instead of a server. Theoretically, there are 2 options to keep its data local: either modify the firmware or run a local s...

Re: Z-Wave factfile Fibaro FGBS-001 Universal Binary Sensor

Thanks for the link Rob! Anyway, a continuous 160 mW @ 16V? Damn... that's pretty outrageous! I'll have to rethink my strategy than - being used to uA territory (a Nordic nRF52 series featuring BLE takes 48 uA @ 3.3V per 100 ms bursts) IMHO anything this thirsty is really really really bad design :o .

Re: Z-Wave factfile Fibaro FGBS-001 Universal Binary Sensor

I got me one of these for hooking up to 3 temperature sensors. Didn't get around to checking it on the hardware itself, but does anyone have information on the power consumption of this sensor? I would like to power it from a 9V/500mAh battery block unless that means swapping batteries every month...
