Re: Play Audio alert / Sound using the 3.5 MM Raspberry Pi connector

The script wasn't executable yet.. But now I've another problem, when the music plays, domoticz doesn't execute other events. (...) Is the rpi or domoticz not capable to execute this together? 1: Your script call line is directly using aplay (not a .sh script file with this line inside): How can ap...

then again... If I do that the stick gets stuck in some kind of mode and I cannot add new devices :) I did sent a mail to Aeotec and they advise me to put the stick is SUC mode (windows tool.. Have not yet had the time to do/try that.. If your module is already included, the stick will refuse re-in...

I would like to see this script ( if you are still active on the forum ) ;-) Hello, That's this one, named checkDomoticz.sh (under /root): #!/bin/bash # Check domoticz (from a crontab) is up a restart whole PI if needed... domoticzUrl=localhost:8080 BN=`basename $0` httping -c 5 -i 0 -t 1 --ts -v -...

Re: OpenZWave: Received timeout notification

Euh…. as already mentioned: my multi sensors are USB powered, not battery powered. But perhaps disabling polling will work... As long as the device will continue to work as well If this device is USB powered as an alternative to internal battery, it may behave as a battery-only device from a z-wave...

Re: Web Interface Failed - Wife going mad!! Please help!!

My opinion is that it is better to use a shell script than monit. Used monit in the beginning and found the service crashing more often than without it. I aggree: Problem is monit will just restart Domoticz service. But most of my fails are only on http/s server side. So domoticz service is still r...

Re: Again no webinterface

Have you tried changing the port from 8080 to something less common? There may be something in your config that is grabbing that port If the port was already used by some other service, Domoticz service would not start at all with a port binding error reported. I have as well the web server side of...

Check doing a curl is a better option but you can not use this domoticzcheck=$(curl --max-time 60 -k -s "https://USERNAME:PASSWORD@192.168.0.5/json.htm?type=command¶m=getversion" | grep '"status"' | awk '{ print $3 }' | sed 's/[\,"]//g') Every time Domoticz web server was down but service statu...

Not sure where to post this topic, not even sure what my question exactly is ;-) I just noticed that there hasn't been a beta update since more than a week, which is quite uncommon. I also noticed we are at version 4.9999... Just made me wonder what's cooking?! Or are are the main devlopers just on...

Re: OpenZWave: Received timeout notification

The Greenwave power nodes and power strip do blink green occasionally… as I understood that means they cannot report to the main station either. But they don't report time outs in the Domoticz log. I will do more investigating, but at first glance it looks like a multi sensor is only reporting a ti...

Re: domoticz gone

Have a RPi 3 b+ so usb3.0 That must be an undocummented feature of 3B+ to have USB3 intead of USB2. Even "GB" ethernet is limited to 300MB because of USB2. As well, in Linux having a SATA SSD on a native SATA interface does not offer the same feature set compared to one using a USB/SATA bridge. Usb...

Re: domoticz gone "offline" after 1.5 year

Warranty "MZ-V7E500BW (500 GB) 5 Years or 300 TBW" (...) BTRFS has checksums to detect disk corruption If you look at write endurance vs capacity, that's only writing about 600x the full media capacity. That's not what I call good raw figures. You get some endurance just because of device size & a ...

Re: domoticz gone "offline" after 1.5 year

How does the speed with SSD via USB compare to an SDcard? Almost no benefit to expect considering USB 2 bandwith... But more IO per second, especially vs a very bad USB device (like all those that targets cam/photo devices that only write sequetially 1 file at a time). But no benefit vs a good SD. ...

Re: How to... show live feed from camera on dashboard

Did you post somewhere your Python code to see how it works (algorithms used) ? No, I did not... In fact, this is executed as a service that is quite independent from Domoticz & require some setup on both side that is not really automatic (virtual switches creation, user variables...). As well, FTP...

Re: How to... show live feed from camera on dashboard

2 frames per second is for camera live display ONLY. For motion detection it is much more... It is two different parameters within motionEye and of course you can change it (it's just values I've chosen). There is a lot of parameters within motionEye, much more than the ones you have with your came...

Select your camera by clicking on it. Then using the menu at the bottom labelled "Active Devices/Scenes (Select Camera first to Edit...)" select your switch and click on the Add button. Done ! Re: How to... show live feed from camera on dashboard

I've setup my cameras months ago so I don't remember everything (and you do it only once). But I don't understand why you speak from the beginning about slave device. As far as I remember, for each camera, I created a dummy switch device, then went to the camera setup screen to attach it to a camer...

Re: How to... show live feed from camera on dashboard

I'm not sure to understand well your issue. In the camera setup screen, you have *first* to select your camera, then the (dummy switch) device already linked to this camera appears... Problem is dummy switch must be slave of camera (what you mean by "link" I presume)... But when I try to edit dummy...

Re: How to... show live feed from camera on dashboard

If I understand you correctly, then you need to create a virtual switch Dummy and specify it as a slave on the desired camera - everything, the camera icon will appear on this switch. Your understanding is correct, but after adding a new virtual switch in tuning/hardware tab, when I want to add it ...
