Re: Watermeter lezen met raspberry en Inductieve NPN sensor

Or run the python script on a rpi zero-w (cheap) dedicated to your water meter. It does NOT need to have Domoticz installed so you can leave D on your NAS. This is what I have running smoothly for over a year here.

evohome usb hgi80 problem

@DanD I notice that the until time reported in the Domoticz UI is off by an hour. I have a perl script that I use with Alexa to boost the temperature in a room for a period of 20 mins. All it does is add 20 mins to the current ISO date-time and post a JSON to Domoticz as follows: ../json.htm?type=se...

Re: Sonoff basic ESP8266

What firmware are you uploading? You need to select the option to use DOUT as the programming method or it will not work. If you use the ESPeasy uploader, it's a tick-box towards the bottom-right of the dialog box.

Re: evohome usb hgi80 problem

That could very well be it. If I recall, Domoticz ignores the time zone info in an ISO date.

Re: evohome usb hgi80 problem

I don’t use the UI that often for overrides. I use the JSON a lot via Habridge and Alexa with my own Perl script and that always works fine. So I assume it’s more of a UI issue than an engine issue.

Re: evohome usb hgi80 problem

Hi Dan,

I'm on Beta 4.10233 with an Evohome WiFi and a HGI80 and I still have the issue (just verified now).

Re: Electricity - no indication of daily consumption and total consumption anymore

I'm on V4.10228. I have a similar problem with the last few betas. My 'counter incremental' devices' (like your managed counter types) are no longer being updated by the Lua script that always updates them in the background when certain switches go on/off. In the log I can see that the switches are ...

Re: Wifi wall plug alternative for Z-wave?

They don't work natively with Domoticz as they rely on a Chinese cloud service. They have an ESP8266 inside so they can be flashed with ESPeasy like a Sonoff can and then they are supported. You will need to dissassemble and even desolder a daughterboard to flash so it's a bit of effort but it can b...

Re: evohome usb hgi80 problem

The 'unable to decode 3ef0' has been there forever, you can ignore it. The Honeywell protocol is undocumented and quite a lot of guesswork has been needed by the developers to get this working in Domoticz. From time to time, radio packets are encountered that are not fully understood, but it works a...

Re: Watermeter lezen met raspberry en Inductieve NPN sensor

The only problem i have is that the script (most likely) is pushing random liters to Domoticz, for example on 04:00 i've used 0 liters but Domoticz got 11 liters counted. Does it happen every day or you only saw this behaviour once? When the little rotating metal disc stops due to water-flow stoppi...

Re: Honeywell Round Wifi+Synology NAS

But f i want to set timers i can only choose for on/off, no option to put in a specific temperature?! Use JSON commands to control the parameters you want - it's documented in the wiki. The syntax looks like this: http://192.168.1.12:8080/json.htm?type=setused&idx=106&setpoint=22&mode=TemporaryOver...

Re: Honeywell Round Wifi+Synology NAS

-Whats better, Synology+Domoticz OR Raspberry+Domoticz? Domoticz on Synology will eventually frustrate you. The OS is a very stripped Linux variant with no build environment. That can be a real pain if you do any external scripting in perl or python. I have a 'big' Synology (DS916+ with 8GB) but I ...

Re: Garagedoor

Would it possible to attach a transmitter (e.g. a PIR?) to the light; it would sent an signal when the light is aluminated? Surely easier to use a magnetic door contact from a KAKU alarm sensor, seeing as how you already have a link from KAKU to Domoticz? I agree with Egregius about security. KAKU ...

Re: Evohome Control From Dashboard

You cannot change temp from the dashboard, unfortunately. If you want to create a switch that sets a temperature with an until-time specified, a JSON call to the api will do the trick (this is mentioned in the wiki). Something along the lines of: http://192.168.1.12:8080/json.htm?type=setused&idx=10...

Re: All json commands stopped working

Maybe the cloud services have cached the old internal IP addresses? Log out and back in. Decouple an account and re-couple it. I had something similar with Evohome after I had to replace the touch-panel. The Alexa link had cached the old ZoneIDs and I needed to delete/recouple to get all working aga...

What does your sqalert.sh look like? How many parameters get passed to the Perl (the $1 $2 $3 etc)?

Re: Logitech Media Server

Good to hear you solved the issue with the correct playlist resuming. The issue with listing multiple players is probably some kind of parsing error. To debug that, add the following lines to the perl script towards the very end: ($players, $prechime, $ttsfile, $avol)=@ARGV; @players=split(/,\s?/, $...
