Re: MQTT Battery Level Not Working

Problem solved thanks to jvdz example. https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/2618 What to send via MQTT to Domoticz (in this case to a selector switch). msg.payload.idx = 1213 ; msg.payload.nvalue = 2 ; msg.payload.level = level; msg.payload.svalue = level.toString(); msg.payload.Battery = bat...

Re: MQTT Battery Level Not Working

Anyone?

I've spent about 5 hours trying to get a battery level entered into a device via MQTT without success, it IS possible with JSON.

Seems to me MQTT is lagging behind the JSON interface.

MQTT Battery Level Not Working

Hey Folks, For some reason sending battery level to a switch or selector switch in Domoticz via MQTT does not work. In the below example (link) I am able to control the device but the battery level is simply ignored. https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=23607&start=20#p188171 I am sen...

This afternoon 3x CC2531 and 1x CC Debugger arrived, Was able to program all 3 CC2531's in about 5 minutes total, note use the debug cable for the CC2531's not the one that came in the CC Debugger box (I was not able to get a green light with that cable). Got a Xiaomi push button connected via zigbe...

Re: OpenZWave: Received timeout notification

I think I'm going to solder a antenna onto my razberry. The node I have most problem with is one that is placed normally behind my computer in the room next to my controller. Keeping that node in the same room as the controller it works fine. Forgot to mention, I tried that as well (soldering an an...

Re: Stopping blinds after 10 seconds?

It's really easy with a Lua device script, I've got a "Blinds Cat Mode" which stops the blinds after 19 seconds which is just high enough for them not to be able to paw at them. eg: commandArray = {} if (devicechanged['Living Room Blinds Cat Mode'] == 'On' and otherdevices['Living Room Left Blind'] ...

Re: OpenZWave: Received timeout notification

Just want to say that for some parts of my network that "often do not function as expected" Eg, I'll walk into the bathroom and it could take 10 seconds for the light to turn on which is unacceptable, I've applied predictive logic to try and overcome the problem. Eg, If I walk into the hallway, THAT...

Or you use dzVents.
Then you could do something like:
local temperature = domoticz.devices('NAMEOFTHESENSOR').temperature

:-D
Depends what you are trying to do. 8-)

Re: How to get temperature from via JSON call from Domoticz?

Thank you, I'll continue with the above to pick out what I need; that really helps out. Note that the raw output from the JSON was: "20.6 C" This removes the quotes: | sed 's/\"//g' This part on the end displays only the first part of the string: | awk '{ print $1 }' Get's 20.6 If you only wanted t...

Re: How to get temperature from via JSON call from Domoticz?

JSON is a format that you need to learn how to navigate. For example this linux bash command gets only the temperature. Make sure you have jq installed: apt-get install jq curl -s 'http://username:password@ipaddress/json.htm?type=devices&rid=778' | jq .result[0].Data | sed 's/\"//g' | awk '{ print $...

Re: Zigbee2MQTT

Would it theoretically be possible to turn this into a python plugin? Or to integrate this into Domoticz? Theoretically yes, it's definately possible to create a Python plugin. Given the extraordinary device support and that Home Assistant have now created their own plugin, I think a Domoticz plugi...

PeterB1, The Last Update is used to prevent double launching (eg some remotes such as Aeotec Wallmote) can send multiple "on" signals very fast. If not controlled with the last update code, it can result in a device being turned on / off many times which isn't ideal. A device name entered at the top...

@EddyG I'm learning Node-Red as well You should also be able to use only a Single Domoticz MQTT, not sure if you can use only a single source MQTT as I have yet to receive my Zigbee adapters but in my UPS Flow I've got 3 functions sending to a single MQTT at the same time non-stop for about 12 hours...

I have version 4.9788 and I can't see the option that is shown in the github ticket. Click on the Z-Wave controller device, I'm running 4.9766 and it shows up fine. I don't think using the latest beta will fix this particular issue. In fact, it may get worse if you do so If anything Z-Wave should b...

Read both these threads. The ability to alter the options.xml was integrated into Domoticz recently so you can now tweak the options within the web interface if needed. https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10702&p=106018 https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/2483 If it can be fi...

sometimes I got a reading and sometimes not, and then 'null' will be published and then ofcourse no battery data in Domoticz. I have to figure out how to solve that, but it could be better solved in Domoticz by not replacing the data with nothing. Try this example (editing as needed) for the batter...
