Re: Somfy io-homecontrol® motors or RTS motors. How to connect to Domoticz

@pmarcus follow instructions on this page:

https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/RFXtrx433E

I used YouTube to find a guide showing how to put my blinds in program mode using the physical Somfy remote.

I haven't used the physical remotes in > 1yr, I control everything with Domoticz (works very well). 8-)

Re: email notification when a user disarmed the alarm

@warren it should probably default to 100 and be possible to specify a higher value in the JSON url.

A mild enhancement (if it ever gets added) 8-) .

Re: email notification when a user disarmed the alarm

Very interesting! I had no idea it was possible to pull the log via JSON. Initially looking at it though doesn't seem like it delivers much previous history, not sure if Lua polling every minute would be sufficient but a device trigger that immediately checks the log would likely be able to get the ...

Re: Script for faster, more efficient bulk control of devices (eg everything off)

Thanks jvdz, I've updated my posts in this thread to include your code optimization.

Anyone using a previous version before 11/06/2018 should update.

There's also another example use of this priority based logic here: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=23780#p183185

Cheers

Re: If motion triggered between sunset and sunrise, control device

waaren, thank you for making the code even better! This works without the extra loop (had to use #devices): -- Device Last Updates t1 = os.time() devices = { "Main Bathroom Motion", "Main Bedroom Hallway Motion", "Main Entrance Door Sensor", "Main Entrance Motion Sensor", "Living Room Motion" } for ...

Re: If motion triggered between sunset and sunrise, control device

waaren the script is just a quick example if anyone is looking how to use the function. My use case is quite a bit more complex, it's a sub if statement that chooses which devices in the living room to control based on time of day. -- Device Last Updates t1 = os.time() devices = { "Main Entrance Mot...

Re: If motion triggered between sunset and sunrise, control device

Thanks, I figured it out in Lua, here is an example script for anyone else looking to do the same. Domoticz has a built in feature called timeofday which makes it easy. commandArray = {} if (devicechanged["Living Room"] == 'On' and timeofday['Nighttime']) then commandArray['Main Bedroom Hallway'] = ...

Re: Zwave scenes, slow responding

I've added this to my /etc/init.d/domoticz file Added just after: do_start() { ozwoptionspath="/root/domoticz/Config/options.xml" sed -i -e '/Option name="RetryTimeout"/d' $ozwoptionspath ; sed -i -e '$i \ <Option name="RetryTimeout" value="1500" />' $ozwoptionspath # Set OpenZWave RetryTimeout opti...

Re: Slow repsonse from devices - need to diagnose now.

Thanks Gizmocus, will do, in the meantime here is a one line method of changing it with sed. :)

Code: Select all

sed -i 's#.*Option name="RetryTimeout".*# <Option name="RetryTimeout" value="5000" />#g' /root/domoticz/Config/options.xml

Re: Slow repsonse from devices - need to diagnose now.

Correct, after that period the controller doesn't wait anymore so it's free to send another command. Thank you Egregius, this has been very useful. :D I've got about 60 devices and have also been seeing an occasional lag of up to about 30 seconds. Would be nice if this could be set within Domoticz.

Lua script for tracking time at and away from home

This is a couple of Lua scripts I wrote for tracking time spent inside and outside my apartment each day. timesensor.JPG 1) Create a couple of custom sensors and name the "Axis Label" "Hours". 2) Create two seperate Lua TIME scripts in Setup > More Options > Events Edit below scripts as needed, in p...

If motion triggered between sunset and sunrise, control device

Hey folks, I'm trying to figure out how to control a device using an if condition only if it's between sunset and sunrise. I have a light by the window which should only be activated when it is dark, I could use set times but I think between sunset and sunrise is the best way to do it. It has to be ...

Re: Apache on top of Domoticz

Domoticz uses it's own web server.

I suggest installing Apache or Nginx + PHP separately (running them on a different port), it will not interfere with Domoticz.

Try getting another token (follow steps in the first post using Google Chrome), you will need to delete refreshtoken.txt it will get re-created automatically.

Does that fix it?

I just watched the YouTube video, that unit you have has one immediately obvious physical difference to the Aeotec Wallmote. Look at the front of the unit and see how the LED part looks like a big: + The model you linked has a curved bit on one of the sides of the + which is not present on the Aeote...

Very cool, you will probably want about a 256mb zram config with that much ram though.

It will run Domoticz but definately not my setup (without zram) and maybe only just with it. :)

Re: email notification when a user disarmed the alarm

Now I understand, the logic you are looking for: If x user controls x device and state = x then perform x (send an email in your case). One solution I can think of is this: Create a dummy device for each user and in security lock it down so only they and the domoticz admin user can see their dummy d...

How exactly will Domoticz know which user disarmed the alarm?

What is the interface with Domoticz?
