Script to detect if circuit is open or closed on Raspberry Pi, Magnetic Reed Switch

Python script to detect if a circuit is open or closed. Eg: connect a wire to GPIO pin 21 and the other end to ground and it will detect it as being closed, remove the wire and it detects as open. Good for using with Magnetic reed switches around the house which are simple open or closed circuits. S...

Re: os.execute.aftersec

Using this in a Lua script to run multiple commands using os.execute, thanks!

Code: Select all

os.execute ('(/bin/sleep 4 && /usr/bin/curl -s "http://192.168.0.5:1880/hueapi?devicename=lightstripmainbathmirror&state=on&brightness=254&r=0&g=0&b=0&colortemp=351&transition=0.5")&')

Re: Zigbee2MQTT

EddyG, check this out, Worked out how to use a variable for the MQTT topic. A single flow that can control any Hue Lightstrip in the house (includes a HTTP API) so I can control using Lua scripts. Eg: http://noderedip:1880/hueapi?devicename=huetest&state=on&brightness=100&r=50&g=170&b=2&colortemp=0 ...

How to set device RGBWW via Lua script?

Hey folks,

Does anyone know how to set a RGBWW Domoticz virtual device via Lua script?

Eg: commandArray['LED'] = 'On' & Colortemp= 180 & Brightness = 80

or

Eg: commandArray['LED'] = 'On' & R=180 B=80 G=221 & Brightness = 80

Thanks

Re: login page and adding users does not work on port 8080

Is authentication on the Domoticz settings page set to "Login Page" or "Basic-Auth" Setting it to Basic-Auth might fix the problem, I'd recommend using Basic-Auth anyway since > 95% of scripts you will find that use authentication will be using Basic-Auth. Does that fix it? (unlikely, but it's worth...

Re: Zigbee2MQTT

Added support for Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus V2

https://github.com/ben423423n32j14e/zig ... er/devices

Note, lightstrip firmware cannot have been upgraded using a Hue Bridge. If it has you will need to wait until Z-Stack 3.0 is available for Zigbee2MQTT.

Re: Zigbee2MQTT

MarFan, current thinking is a bit different.

I'm working on adding a "Device Health" widget, that lists devices with low signal, low battery or have not been seen for more than 6 hours (potentially failed).

Script: Re-program Z-Wave node if it fails to report power usage

This script checks if a Z-Wave device has failed to report kWh watts for more than 5 minutes. If the check fails and Domoticz has been up for more than 10 minutes, it re-programs the Z-Wave node. I used Chrome inspect when submitting Z-Wave values for a device, in this case a "Aeotec ZW096 Smart Swi...

Example Lua Script to get Domoticz uptime in minutes. In the below example, in additional to the Motion Sensor changing to "On", Domoticz uptime must be over 10 minutes. -- Domoticz Configuration username="USERNAME" password="PASSWORD" server="192.168.0.5" commandArray = {} -- Get Domoticz Uptime in...

Solved by guessing! :mrgreen:

Code: Select all

/json.htm?type=command&param=getuptime

Code: Select all

{
   "days" : 1,
   "hours" : 7,
   "minutes" : 36,
   "seconds" : 45,
   "status" : "OK",
   "title" : "GetUptime"

Get Domoticz Uptime in Lua or via Json?

Is it possible to get Domoticz uptime using Lua or via the Json interface?

I'm wanting to create a Lua script with an if condition that Domoticz must have been up for 10 minutes before it will run.

Re: MQTT format for Temp & humidity

To send only Humidity to a Humidity Sensor in Domoticz via MQTT, I spent over an hour trying to get this to work (solution): It's sensitive to quotes "", this is what I use in a Node-Red function: msg.payload.idx = 1211; msg.payload.nvalue = humidity; msg.payload.svalue = "0"; The nvalue cannot be s...

Yes!

Finally I used the Percentage indicator that is also storing the history values.

:)
Can you post a code example? I'm interested to see how you accessed previous data.

Thanks

Re: Zigbee2MQTT

Thanks EddyG, I will wait to see if the motion sensor eventually checks in with a battery status (it's not sending one each time motion is triggered). Battery works fine for my Xiaomi Temp / Humidity sensor, it's been fluctuating from around 85 - 88%, seems to be effected by temperature I'm guessing...

EddyG, are you finding that your Xiaomi Motion Sensors are not reporting battery status?

Also my Vibration / Tilt / Fall sensors finally arrived (today), will start playing with them soon.

Re: domoticz gone "offline" after 1.5 year

How does the speed with SSD via USB compare to an SDcard? But no benefit vs a good SD. Just something bulky. This could not possibly be more wrong, the reason an SSD is superior is the write endurance. SD cards (even the expensive top models) all have very, very limited write endurance when compare...

I have a device that if I try to remove at the moment also crashes Domoticz (I've been Lazy and haven't fixed it yet). I've seen this problem before, the solution is to backup the db from the Domoticz settings page and open it in: https://sqlitebrowser.org/ Then delete the device causing problems ma...

Re: Putting a db value in a counter

Probably a PHP or Bash script then send the data to a Domoticz device using the JSON API. https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Domoticz_API/JSON_URL's Depending on coding skill, Node-Red is another option, you could use MQTT to communicate with Domoticz. Example bash script #!/bin/bash # Domoticz Configura...
