Re: Can't get https to work

My suggestion is to simply run a Nginx or Apache reverse proxy to the Domoticz port 8080 (that's how I've always done it).

I keep SSL disabled on Domoticz itself.

Re: Selling The House,What to do with domoticz now??

Anyway, as i said selling a home with "Smart Home" brand is still a plus in some places... I agree I removed everything upon my move. As already mentioned, not all new home owners are interested to pay for these kind of systems. This is true, it's a cost / benefit equation, it cost me about $500 in...

Re: Selling The House,What to do with domoticz now??

I've thought of this problem before, my apartment is 100% automated with Z-Wave on every light switch. My thinking is that I'd buy a Vera Edge, spend a couple of hours setting it up and just hand over the login to the new owner. Then if they have any issues I'd just refer them to contact Vera for su...

Re: New (beta) version library requirement (Arm/Debian)

Update:

I solved the problem by backing up the database in Domoticz, compiling the latest version 3.8423 from scratch and restoring the backup.

Now my system works on the latest version. :D

Re: New (beta) version library requirement (Arm/Debian)

Has anyone found a solution for this? I just tried to upgrade to 3.8356 and still the same issue.

I haven't been able to upgrade my Domoticz installation for about the last month without it breaking.

It always crashes during startup with the same error...

Re: New (beta) version library requirement (Arm/Debian)

I'm running 3.8300 on Debian 9 stretch AMD 64. Every time I try to upgrade Domoticz starts then crashes immediately, output is: (Always happens just after the even system enters its loop state). 2017-09-17 11:06:13.580 PluginSystem: Entering work loop. ./domoticz(_ZN8CNetatmo5LoginEv+0x4cd)[0x8486ed...

Re: Domoticz compatibility with debian 9 stretch

I don't think PHP and MariaDB will impact domoticz, as domoticz does'nt use them. But I tried to use Stretch, and I have this issue at start : /domoticz/domoticz: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory In stretch, libssl is a...

Re: Lights intermittently turn on / off together

I'm seeing the same thing on Domoticz Linux, I've had Z-Wave lights (and scenes) turning on / off randomly throughout my apartment including in the middle of the night. There is no way the motion sensors are being set off. Can't be bothered to go through the logs right now but I do know this issue w...

Re: Seneye Fish Tank Monitor Bash Script

Seneye Home with the Seneye Web Server. I ran this setup for about 3 months but have recently removed the Seneye home because I got sick of the bright red light it shines through the tank every 60 seconds or so. I found it distracting since my fish tank is located in the living room near the TV. It ...

On the setup tab of Domoticz go to Backup/Restore. Backup the database then restore it, you should see a big size reduction.

Domoticz Database Save Interval Option in Settings

Is it possible to add an option in settings to control how often the DB data is actually written to disk? Eg, write to disk every 6 hours? I'm just thinking if we can have control over that variable it should probably be available in the settings page. Might be useful for some Raspberry Pi configura...

Re: Xiaomi Smart Home Suite (very cheap) compatibilty?

After using Xiaomi Gateway successfully with Domoticz for about 2 -3 months, one day recently I found my gateway had stopped working and was flashing yellow. Couldn't see it on the network or broadcasting it's setup wifi SSID after power cycling it, I ended up doing a hard reset, this is where it ge...

I use a 512mb zram to make the Pi's 1gb of ram go a bit further. I also use Monit to either restart Domoticz or the Pi if certain thresholds are passed (but I don't currently have an issue with Domoticz memory usage), here is the part of my Monit file for Domoticz: # Monitor Domoticz check process d...

Set your temperature units here:

Setup > Settings > Meters/Counters

Did that work? You might need to reboot Domoticz after changing it.
