Re: Z-wave Nodes die for no reason

I've seen similar problem RE dead nodes, my solution: Added 3x Aeotec Gen 5 Range Extenders Replaced all non Gen 5 devices with new Gen 5 versions (including the in-wall switches) Since moving to all Gen 5 Z-Wave models I haven't had any problems and notice improved responsiveness in the system. Re: From raspberry to a (mini) PC

What hardware plugins and notification services do you have enabled? (post a list).

There are currently some known issues, eg:

Trixwood, slightly un-related question... are you hearing a high pitch buzzing noise coming from your Lightstrips?

I've just added one to my wardrobe and the noise is driving me crazy.

Then call it from Lua:

eg:

Code: Select all

if abc then
os.execute ('/folder/script.sh')
end
I would ensure the script returns control right away by:

Code: Select all

os.execute ('sh /folder/script.sh &')

Jos
Can you please explain what you mean by return control right away?

Re: CommandArray['OpenURL'] ='...AFTER 30'

I'd do this with a bash script:

eg:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
sleep 30
curl -s "http://URL"
Then call it from Lua:

eg:

Code: Select all

if abc then
os.execute ('/folder/script.sh')
end

Re: Several crashes per day.

There seem to be quite a lot of stability problems lately:

https://github.com/domoticz/domoticz/issues/2060

I'm seeing both Pushover notifications and the Netatmo plugin cause Domoticz to crash.

Somewhere something has changed.

Guide - How to use Pushover notifications with Domoticz via bash

As the current implementation of the Pushover notification option in Domoticz is causing Domoticz to crash for me (Version: 3.8805) I have created an alternate method for using Pushover notifications with Domoticz (Linux only): 1) Create a bash script somewhere on your system containing: #!/bin/bash...

I'm seeing the exact same problem, I've had to leave the Netatmo plugin disabled to be able to use Domoticz.

Re: Fibaro flood sensor in devices

Same problem, just secure added a FGFS-101.

I'm only seeing these sensors (missing the temperature sensor):

kitchenfloodsensor.PNG
kitchenfloodsensor.PNG (101.05 KiB) Viewed 57 times
It shows up fine in the OpenZWave control panel:

floodopenzwave.PNG
floodopenzwave.PNG (39.05 KiB) Viewed 57 times
I've already tried waiting 6 hours and re-including it, how long did it take to show up?

Re: How to start a *.sh file at bootup?

An alternative method is to make an init.d script that runs your script on startup: nano /etc/init.d/NAMEOFSCRIPT #!/bin/sh ### BEGIN INIT INFO # Provides: startscripts # Required-Start: $network # Required-Stop: $network # Default-Start: 2 3 5 # Default-Stop: # Description: Starts the script ### EN...

Or use pass2php and have less code :lol:

Code: Select all

if($status=='On'){
	if(past('bedroom')>past('hallway'){
		//do something
	}
}
Wow, that is a very simple way to do it!

We all have our favourite programming languages. 8-)

Re: Bulk device last update script

DzVents while excellent is almost like a different programming language... there can be benefits starting out with it but for those of us using Lua / familiar with Lua scripting the above could be very useful.

Bulk device last update script

This Lua script gets the last update times for large numbers of devices and makes the time available as a variable name: eg: MainBedroomLastUpdate Then it's possible to do simple math as part of if statements, example: if (devicechanged["Main Bathroom"] == 'On' and MainBedroomLastUpdate > 5) then co...

trixwood, are you finding that often the iKettle will not join the Wifi network and just sit with its own SSID broadcasting requiring a manual restart of the kettle?

Script for faster, more efficient bulk control of devices (eg everything off)

This Lua script can dramatically improve performance as an alternative to a scene to bulk control devices. Example, a home has 20 devices of various technologies (z-wave, phillips hue, xiaomi etc...). Half the devices are turned on and the other half are not. Let's say you want to turn off all the d...

No, you delete the old device on the same screen where you can include / exclude it.
