Re: DD-WRT Internet Usage Script

Try running the script manually from terminal: ./script.sh Obviously you need to name the script as script.sh but if you run it like that in terminal it should show you output to determine if it's working or not. The design is such that it's not meant to be run from CRON but started once at startup ...

Domoticz Health Dashboard (written in Node-Red)

Hey folks, I've released my health dashboard for Domoticz written in Node-Red. A web interface displays problems found throughout a home automation system using information from Domoticz. Problems are ordered and rated by severity: Low Medium High Critical Problem definitions include: Devices not se...

Re: CommandArray['OpenURL'] ='...AFTER 30'

cool... many thanks for this, I was struggling to find a solution Olivier This works in Lua scripts (it's better than having to use a separate bash script or similar): os.execute ('(/bin/sleep 2 && /usr/bin/curl -s "http://URLHERE")&') Change the sleep number (currently set to 2), it's in seconds. ...

Re: Domoticz Offline one time per day...

To start, sorry for my bad english and my bad linux knowledge. My opinion.. I think you should probably re-install with Raspbian since that's what the majority of people running Domoticz on Raspberry Pi are using... If you don't have much experience it will be beneficial for you to be using the mos...

Re: Zigbee2MQTT

You either need to use Zigbee2MQTT or the Hive plugin If you want to control the device in Domoticz using Zigbee2MQTT this flow should work (import it) [{"id":"bfb978ea.1c29a8","type":"mqtt in","z":"f962b96d.7044c8","name":"","topic":"domoticz/out","qos":"2","broker":"cd51966f.aa7e38","x":330,"y":14...

Re: Script to restart Domoticz if it crashes

Sometimes domoticz is not working, www server of domoticz is not working but systemctl status domoticz shows it as working so you can not check by this way... Check doing a curl is a better option but you can not use this domoticzcheck=$(curl --max-time 60 -k -s "https://USERNAME:PASSWORD@192.168.0...

Re: Opinions on Arduino based cable connection

You don't need an arduino for reed switches, it can be done very easily with just a Raspberry Pi.

See: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=24991&p=192239#p192239

I've got a Pi 3 B+ which only monitors a reed switch working very nicely.

Re: Updating the status of Domoticz switches without triggering?

Solved my problem using a uservariable in the Lua script, eg: -- Flood Sensor Kitchen if (devicechanged['Flood Sensor Kitchen'] == 'On') then message = "Domoticz#A flood has been detected in the kitchen." commandArray['SendNotification'] = message print(message) commandArray['Variable:floodsensorkit...

Surely someone knows how to do this?

I've need to update a devices battery and rssi WITHOUT actually triggering it on or off via MQTT.

I'm using the exact same Z-Wave controller and have two ZRC-90's working without any problems.

What exactly is going wrong, does it refuse to pair or not work after it's paired?

Re: Migrating from zWave to KNX

With ZigBee I had to have some gateways which is a bit of a pain. That used to be the case before Zigbee2MQTT and some other projects, I've recently moved all my Xiaomi and Philip Hue devices onto Zigbee2MQTT (and subsequently removed the Xiaomi and Hue hubs). I think Zigbee2MQTT could become the O...

Re: Migrating from zWave to KNX

EdddieN, I've been decommissioning Z-Wave devices in my home and replacing them with Zigbee (mostly Xiaomi, Philip Hue etc..) using Zigbee2MQTT and Node-Red. I can't understand why you would want to go from Zigbee to Z-Wave? What was the reasoning, are you happier with the Z-Wave system? My experien...

Script to detect if circuit is open or closed on Raspberry Pi, Magnetic Reed Switch

Python script to detect if a circuit is open or closed. Eg: connect a wire to GPIO pin 21 and the other end to ground and it will detect it as being closed, remove the wire and it detects as open. Good for using with Magnetic reed switches around the house which are simple open or closed circuits. S...

EddyG, check this out, Worked out how to use a variable for the MQTT topic. A single flow that can control any Hue Lightstrip in the house (includes a HTTP API) so I can control using Lua scripts. Eg: http://noderedip:1880/hueapi?devicename=huetest&state=on&brightness=100&r=50&g=170&b=2&colortemp=0 ...
