Re: User Variables in DZVents

first of all your sentence will restura True or False, not 'True' or 'False' (it's boolean, not a string ;) ) Unfortunately os.execute does NOT return true or false based on the command result, it returns true or false if the command was executed If you want a ping a device and return its status why...

and then

os.execute('curl "http://'..IP..'/MainZone/index.put.asp?cmd0=PutZone_OnOff%2FON"')

Re: suggestion for .checkFirst()

mmmh that's nice either.... a .checkFirst(log true, log false, LOG_INFO) maybe? I did not think about a 'not triggered' log but it is helpful indeed. My intention was not only for debug issue but also for notification (of course we cannot add a lot of option in that function :P :P) it looks very nic...

suggestion for .checkFirst()

ciao, I was wodering if a possible change can be made to the checkFirst function in dzVents: could the function include a log message in case of activation? (so the syntax would be .checkFirst(logMessage of operation is performed) if no argument is given then it runs as usual example: if dz.devices(...

Re: Fibaro RGBW controller - RGB strip + analog temperature sensor

following the fibaro logic... it could be that once you connect the temp sensor you have to exclude and re-include the device in the zWave Network

(for door sensors it works like that :( )

Re: Letting LUA wait for result from Python script?

the problem you have is that the otherdevice table contains info at the moment the script is fired... even if the pythonscript works fine, you have to file the script twice a possible good way to handle could be using dzVents with 2 different triggers: the first (that launch the python script) trigg...

Re: Aurora theme

uhm... it might be possible to replace the grouping character from "-" to "_" ? :oops: (or at least have it selectable?) I have a lot of devices with the same prefix and _ separated... and a lot of scripts using such syntax... and I was wondering if there would be a way to avoid changing all scripts...
